Pocket Gamer’s Metria tier list, updated October 5, 2026 for version 6.1.0, places characters and named variants in S, A and B tiers. It adds [Green Hammer Knight] Popodero and [Purple Piercer Knight] Zescole. These are Pocket Gamer’s experience-based judgments, not official or numerical power rankings. Because variants may change a character’s element and playstyle, read each listed name as its own placement rather than merging every version into one rating.

The entries below preserve Pocket Gamer’s tier assignments and spellings, including repeated base-character names and variant names. The list is not deduplicated: a character can appear more than once when the page assigns different versions to different tiers.

What the tiers mean in practice
Pocket Gamer says Metria’s fast, action-focused battles reward switching characters, managing spacing, dodging and timing attacks. The publication limits its ranking to S through B because it considers the roster small and says it did not find outright bad characters. That is an editorial assessment, not a guarantee that an S-tier pick will outperform another character in every fight or build.

- Ease of use: Rio is described as intuitive and easy to learn, although Pocket Gamer considers his stats unremarkable.
- Distinct role: The article describes Lunaria as the game’s only magic user, offering a different style from the more consistent melee and ranged patterns it sees elsewhere. That description may change as the roster develops.
- Melee debuffing: Zescole is described as a melee debuffer with good stats, able to exploit debuffs at close range.
- Damage, speed and durability: Pocket Gamer characterizes Popodero as slower and suited to players who favor damage and durability, while Begius is described as defensive and durable.
Why variants should be judged separately
Pocket Gamer says SSR versions can alter a character’s playstyle and element, rather than serving as cosmetic alternatives. Its example is [Solid Aqua Shield] Begius changing to the water element. When comparing entries, check the exact version and its kit; a base character’s tier does not automatically describe every variant.
Elemental matchups also affect damage, and tarot cards occupy upgrade slots that can provide character- or affinity-specific boosts. A tier placement therefore cannot account for every matchup or build configuration. Consider the element and tarot setup you actually use alongside the character’s range, debuffs and combat role.

New characters and current availability
Asobimo’s official Metria news page lists October 1, 2026 announcements concerning Popodero and Zescole, their Limit Break update, and a Wind Element SSR character select gacha. Those notices establish that the announcements were made; they do not establish that a particular banner is still available. Check the live game for current banner and event status.
Asobimo describes METRIA as a free-to-play RPG for iOS, Android and Windows on its official website. Google Play describes real-time battles using a team of three, character skills, gathering and crafting, and lists September 28, 2026 as the app’s update date on its store listing.

- Match the exact variant. Use the full name shown in the list where available; do not assume a base-character placement applies to a differently named version.
- Choose for your combat preference. Decide whether you want range, close-range debuffing, a distinct magic role, easier handling, more damage, or durability.
- Account for the matchup and build. Consider elemental advantages and the tarot-card boosts on your setup rather than treating tier as a standalone result.
- Check what is obtainable now. Official notices document announcements, not ongoing banner availability; verify the in-game banner before planning around a character.
Pocket Gamer’s page has inconsistent spelling and formatting, including “Zescole” and “Zescol,” “Bel” and “Bell,” and entries without full variant labels. The list above retains those reported forms rather than guessing which uncertain label is intended; check the live game or official character notices when identifying a specific version.
