It can put models such as Kimi K3 and GLM 5.3 behind familiar interfaces including Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode—but it does not run those models on your computer. The CLI is free; inference requires a Together API key and is billed according to model usage. An optional Anthropic key can also incur separate charges when Claude Code or Claude Desktop routes requests to Opus 5.5.
What Together Link does—and what it does not
Together Link acts as a connection and launcher between an existing agent and Together AI’s hosted model service. You continue using a supported agent interface while Together Link directs it to models available through Together. The model computation happens on Together’s infrastructure, not locally on your Mac or Linux machine.

Together describes terminal integrations as receiving temporary settings for each launch. For desktop integrations, it says the tool creates separate, reversible profiles. That approach is intended to avoid permanently replacing an app’s general configuration, though the product is currently labeled beta.

The built‑in 4000mAh rechargeable battery ensures stable wireless performance. Continue typing while charging via wired mode when power runs low

Whether you’re working late at home or typing in a shared office space, the mellow, ASMR-like tone makes every keystroke a genuinely enjoyable experience
- 【Hot-swap for Tailored Sound & Tactile】Pre-lubed Bsun linear switches (45-50gf actuation) deliver a buttery response. Compatible with both 3 pin and 5pin switches, they enables solder-free swapping. Models, prices and billing
The official product page lists Kimi K3, GLM 5.3, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and MiniMax M3. Its displayed rates for two models are:
| Model | Input price | Output price |
|---|---|---|
| Kimi K3 | $2.70 per million tokens | $13.50 per million tokens |
| GLM 5.3 | $1.40 per million tokens | $4.40 per million tokens |
These are rates displayed on Together AI’s product page when accessed in 2026, not guaranteed future prices. Check the current pricing display before estimating a project’s cost. The CLI itself is free, but model inference is not: requests are billed through the Together API key. If you supply an Anthropic key, routing to Opus 5.5 in Claude Code or Claude Desktop can create additional Anthropic billing.

How Auto Router chooses a model
Together says Auto Router assesses the first task in a session and selects a route once for that session. Without an Anthropic key, the launch post describes routing between GLM 5.3 and GLM 5.3 Flash. With an Anthropic key, Claude Code and Claude Desktop can route between GLM 5.3 and Opus 5.5; the Opus path is billed by Anthropic, not simply included in Together inference charges. Together says routing occurs once per session so prompt caching continues to work.
The routing behavior is described in Together AI’s launch post. The sources describe an initial-task decision, not a guarantee that every later task will be reassessed or that the router will choose the lowest-cost model for every workload.

What the savings claims mean
Together advertises savings of more than 50%; its FAQ gives a range of 50–80% compared with running every session on Opus 5.5. These are Together’s claims, not independently established results. Your outcome depends on which models are selected, the mix of tasks, prompt and output token volume, and whether optional Anthropic-billed Opus usage is involved. Treat the percentages as marketing estimates, not a promised reduction in your bill.
Together says sessions display token and dollar totals and that a usage report covers the last seven days. Those figures can help you inspect usage, but they do not make a projected savings percentage universal.

Is Together Link a fit for your workflow?
- Consider it if you already use one of the listed agents, want to try Together-hosted models through that interface, and are comfortable with a beta CLI and usage-based inference billing.
- Do not choose it to run models locally. Together Link connects to hosted inference; it is not a local model runner.
- Review billing first if you plan to add an Anthropic key for Opus routing, since those requests can be billed separately by Anthropic.
- Verify current compatibility before installing, especially for version-sensitive integrations such as OpenCode and Pi.
