MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600M is an upcoming smartphone platform with an eight-core Arm C1 CPU, Mali-G1 Ultra graphics, LPDDR5X memory support and Wi-Fi 7. NanoReview lists high AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6 scores, but the reviewed benchmark page does not disclose enough test-device or methodology details to treat them as independently verified results. MediaTek says the first phones are expected in Q4 2026; that is a forecast, not confirmation that a phone is already on sale.
Dimensity 9600M specifications
The figures below are platform specifications published by MediaTek. They describe supported capabilities, not guaranteed features in every phone: handset makers choose which components and functions to implement.
| Area | MediaTek-listed specification |
|---|---|
| CPU | Eight Arm C1 cores: 1x C1-Ultra with 2 MB L2 cache, 3x C1-Premium with 1 MB L2 each, and 4x C1-Pro with 512 KB L2 each; 16 MB L3 cache and 10 MB system-level cache. MediaTek product page |
| GPU | Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12. MediaTek product page |
| AI | MediaTek NPU 990; MediaTek also identifies an Agentic AI Engine. MediaTek product page MediaTek, September 15, 2026 |
| Memory and storage | LPDDR5X 10667 memory and four-lane UFS 4.1 storage. MediaTek product page |
| Mobile network and wireless | 3GPP Release 17, sub-6 GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. MediaTek product page |
| Camera and video | Support for camera sensors up to 320 MP, 8K video capture at 60 fps, and 4K capture at 120 fps with EIS. MediaTek product page |
| Display | WQHD+ resolution at up to 180 Hz. MediaTek product page |
These are ceilings or supported standards where MediaTek describes them as such. A phone’s camera resolution, video modes, display refresh rate, memory configuration and wireless features depend on its manufacturer’s design.
Dimensity 9600M benchmark scores
NanoReview lists the following scores for the Dimensity 9600M. Its reviewed page does not provide transparent enough information about the test phone, software build, sample size or repeatability to establish these as independently validated results. They are third-party reported figures, not a controlled review of a retail handset.

NanoReview’s Dimensity 9600M benchmark page reports those results. A score alone does not establish how a phone will perform in sustained gaming, everyday use or under heat: those outcomes depend on the device, cooling, software and test conditions. Comparisons with other chips are meaningful only when benchmark version, phone configuration, cooling, software and test method are matched.
MediaTek’s gaming and efficiency claims
MediaTek’s product page advertises gaming up to 185 FPS, up to 30% lower latency in crowded environments, and up to 10% power savings with AI traffic prediction. These are vendor claims; the product page does not supply an independent test methodology that would establish them as universal results. The published material also does not attach a publication year to these figures. MediaTek product page

How the 9600M is positioned and when phones are expected
In a September 15, 2026 announcement, MediaTek described the Dimensity 9600M as upcoming and said the first phones using the 9600 Pro and 9600M were expected in Q4 2026. The release also names the Agentic AI Engine and Dimensity Scheduling Engine. An expected launch window does not confirm retail availability. MediaTek’s announcement
GSMArena characterizes the 9600M as essentially a repackaged Dimensity 9500, with substantially the same listed CPU, GPU and NPU and the newer AI and scheduling engines. That is GSMArena’s characterization; MediaTek’s product page does not explicitly call the chip a repackage. GSMArena identifies the vivo X500 and Oppo Find X10 as expected early devices, not confirmed products on sale. GSMArena report, September 17, 2026

MediaTek executive JC Hsu’s quote in the September 15 release concerns the Dimensity 9600 Pro, not benchmark results for the 9600M: “AI is central to the smartphone experience, and devices need greater performance, efficiency, and intelligence to keep pace with rapidly evolving user demands.”
