Manage the firewall without disrupting your network
McAfee says firewall controls can be managed in the Mac product console. Its support guidance warns that firewall blocking can interfere with printers or connections to other devices on a local network. If a device or activity stops working, identify what is being blocked and make only a short diagnostic change. Restore protection afterward; do not leave the firewall disabled as a workaround.
