To divert incoming calls on a Samsung Galaxy phone, open the Phone app, go to More options (three dots) → Settings → Supplementary services → Call forwarding, choose the SIM and the condition, enter a destination number, and tap Enable. Whether the feature actually works depends on your carrier and your line or plan, not only on the phone. Samsung Gulf Support describes the feature this way in its guide, last updated July 2, 2026: “Call forwarding on Samsung Galaxy allows you to redirect incoming calls to another number when your phone is busy, unreachable, or unanswered.”
The four forwarding conditions
Samsung’s menu offers four conditions. Each one decides when a call is passed to the destination number you enter.

| When unreachable | The handset or line cannot be reached, for example when you are out of coverage | Covers coverage gaps rather than unanswered calls. |
Choose the condition that matches your goal. If you want a backup for missed calls, pick When unanswered or When unreachable. If you want every call moved, pick Always forward and remember to turn it off later.

The steps below follow the route in Samsung Saudi Arabia Support’s guide, last updated April 23, 2026. Menu labels and availability vary by Galaxy model and One UI version, so if a label differs on your phone, look for the same option under Phone settings.

- Open the Phone app.
- Tap More options (three dots), then tap Settings.
- Tap Supplementary services.
- Tap Call forwarding. On a dual-SIM phone, select SIM 1 or SIM 2 first, and make sure it is the line whose calls you want to divert.
- If prompted, choose Voice calls.
- Select Always forward, When busy, When unanswered, or When unreachable.
- Enter the destination phone number, or choose a contact.
- Tap Enable.
If the destination field already contains a number you did not enter, see the prefilled-number section below before changing anything.
How to turn call forwarding off
Return to the same Call forwarding menu for the SIM you configured, select the forwarding condition that is currently active, and tap Disable. If you had several conditions active on the same line, disable each one you no longer want.

Troubleshooting
Most problems fall into one of four groups. Work through them in this order, because the first two can be checked on the phone in less than a minute.

- Confirm the phone has cellular service on the SIM you are configuring.
- Contact your carrier to check that call forwarding is supported and provisioned on your line or plan. Samsung’s guides state that the carrier controls the service, so a menu setting alone cannot make it work.
- Ask the carrier whether any restriction, such as a barring service, applies to the line.
Calls are going to the wrong number
- Open the Call forwarding menu and check the number stored for each active condition. A busy-line number and an unanswered-call number can differ.
- On a dual-SIM phone, confirm that you set the forwarding on the correct SIM. Settings on one SIM do not change the other.
A number is already filled in and cannot be removed
Samsung Russia Support’s guide, last updated January 21, 2026, says a voicemail or missed-call notification service can occupy the forwarding destination slot. In that case the carrier may need to change or disable that service. This is Samsung’s regional explanation, not a guarantee that it applies to every carrier, so ask your carrier which service is using the number.

You want to cancel forwarding with a dial code
Samsung Russia Support lists ##002# as a code for cancelling forwarding. Samsung’s other guides use the settings menu instead, and the codes that carriers support are not uniform. Treat ##002# as valid only if your carrier confirms it for your line, and otherwise use the Disable steps above.
Why the menu path differs between regions
Samsung’s support pages for different regions do not describe the same route. The Saudi Arabia guide uses Supplementary services and a SIM selector. Samsung’s Gulf guide, last updated July 2, 2026, labels the route Call Settings. A single exact path therefore cannot be promised for every Galaxy model, One UI release, or region. If your menu looks different, look for Call forwarding under Phone settings and any supplementary or additional services area, then check your local Samsung support page or carrier.

Samsung Russia Support also notes that Galaxy Watch cannot be used to configure this service, so change forwarding on the phone itself. Its guide frames call forwarding as a carrier service that must be enabled on the plan.

The Samsung guides above do not state pricing, the exact ring delay for unanswered calls, roaming behaviour, or any carrier-specific billing for forwarded calls. Check those points with your carrier before you rely on forwarding for business or emergency use.
