Marvel Rivals is available on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Store, and Loading Bay. It supports cross-platform play when players are on the same server, and cross-progression is available through account linking. Those features are separate: crossplay lets you play together, while cross-progression lets you use a shared character and progress across linked platforms.

The official Marvel Rivals release FAQ lists Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Store, and Loading Bay. Availability can vary by platform and region, so check the relevant platform’s listing if you do not see the game in your store.

Does Marvel Rivals have crossplay?
Yes. The official release FAQ says players using different platforms can play with friends as long as everyone is on the same server. It does not establish the current ranked matchmaking pools, party restrictions, or whether a crossplay toggle is available. Check the current in-game settings and matchmaking information for those details; older beta-era rules should not be assumed to apply.

Does Marvel Rivals have cross-progression?
Yes. In its November 14, 2025 Account Cross-Progression Q&A, the game’s publisher said that linking supported platform accounts lets you sign in through any linked account and use the same primary character and its progress. The supported platforms named in the Q&A are Epic, Steam, Loading Bay, PlayStation, and Xbox.

How to link your accounts
- In Marvel Rivals, open Settings → Other → Account → Account Binding.
- Select the platform account you want to link, then complete the verification steps shown in-game.
- Wait for the linking process to finish. If the linked accounts contain separate characters, choose which one will be the primary character.
Linking does not merge separate characters
If your accounts already have different characters, their data is not combined. The character you select becomes primary for linked-platform play; the other character remains stored and can be restored by changing the primary character or unlinking, as described in the official Q&A.
Cooldowns and account-linking cautions
- After unbinding a platform account, the Q&A states that you must wait 180 days before linking that same platform again.
- After changing the primary character, the stated cooldown before you can select another is 30 minutes.
- PlayStation linking has an additional restriction: after binding a PSN account, you cannot bind a different PSN account, though the original may be linked again.
- Unlinking or switching can have lasting effects. Review the current in-game confirmation and account-binding terms before proceeding, since these rules may change.
- Linking game accounts does not automatically update other services such as Discord or Twitch Drops; those may need to be linked separately.
Does rank carry over between PC and console?
No. The shared character can carry progress, but battle data, rank, and leaderboards remain separate for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, according to the November 2025 Q&A. The Q&A also says season rewards are based on the highest valid device rank from the previous season, subject to the season’s settlement instructions.

Are Marvel Rivals purchases shared between platforms?
Marvel Rivals is presented as free to play on the PlayStation product listing, which marks in-game purchases as optional. The November 2025 Q&A says paid content is held on the character, but platform restrictions still apply: a bundle already bought on PlayStation or Xbox may not be available for repurchase on that same platform account. The Q&A suggests trying another linked platform if a second purchase is desired.
This does not mean every purchase can be freely transferred or is available on every platform. Platform-exclusive costumes, for example, remain usable only on their designated platform; elsewhere, the character displays the default costume. Store items and prices change, and the cited materials do not establish a current price list or complete current catalog.
