For a Manchester United match at Old Trafford, buy through the club’s official ticket site, plan your route with live fixture-day travel information, and keep any bag within 20 × 15 × 5 cm (8 × 6 × 2 in). Everyone entering the stadium is subject to screening, so follow the entrance printed on your ticket and allow time to get through the checks.

Do not confuse a season-ticket figure with a price for a single match. Manchester United’s 2026/27 season-ticket update gives a lowest adult general-admission season-ticket price of £646, equivalent to £34 per match across 19 Premier League home matches. Those are season-ticket figures; the club said match-by-match details would be confirmed after publication of the 2026/27 fixtures. Check the official ticket site for the price and availability of the particular fixture you want.

How do I get to Old Trafford on a matchday?
Start with the club’s Getting Here guidance for maps and routes by car, train, tram and bus. Then check a live journey planner and current Transport for Greater Manchester and rail updates for your fixture date. Metrolink
The club’s access statement describes frequent Metrolink services from the city centre, including Victoria and Piccadilly, to Old Trafford Metrolink station. It gives an approximate 10–15-minute walk from the stop to the stadium. The station is described as accessible for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues. Check live service information and the route to your ticketed entrance before setting out.
Driving, cycling and motorbikes
Check current parking arrangements and availability before travelling by car. The club says cycle racks are available at N2, E2 and W2 car parks, free to use; bring your own secure lock. For motorbikes, the club FAQ says to purchase a standard car-park space, with listed spaces at N3 and N4 subject to availability. Confirm current arrangements with the club rather than relying on a space being available.

What size bag can I take into Old Trafford?
The maximum permitted bag size is 20 × 15 × 5 cm (8 × 6 × 2 in). A carrier bag brought from home must be clear and fit within those dimensions. Oversized bags must be left at a bag drop, so the simplest plan is to bring only what fits the limit.

It lists a £5 charge, says the facilities open four hours before kick-off and close two and a half hours after the final whistle, and recommends arriving two hours before kick-off if you need to use one. Fees and operating arrangements can change, so confirm the current details on the stadium security page before travelling.

Can I take a child to a Manchester United match?
Yes, but follow the club’s age and booking rules: an under-16 match ticket cannot be booked without an adult in the booking, and a child under 14 must be accompanied by someone aged 16 or older. The club’s reviewed guidance does not state a maximum adult-to-child ratio, so ask the club if your group needs clarification.

Can I add a stadium visit or travel package to my trip?
Non-matchday visits
The club presents the museum, stadium tour, Red Café and Megastore as visitor options for non-matchdays. Treat them as additions to a separate day’s itinerary rather than assuming they will be available as part of your matchday plans.
Official match-break packages
For 2026/27 and beyond, Manchester United names Champions Travel and Travel Connection as official match-break partners. The club says their packages combine official match tickets with accommodation and travel options. Compare what ticket is included, where the accommodation is, which transport is covered, the change and cancellation terms, and the total cost; the club’s partner information does not establish package prices or detailed terms.
