To make a quiz for friends with AI, give a quiz tool a specific theme, audience, question count, difficulty, and format. Review the draft, correct factual answers, and tailor the wording to your group before sharing it. Kahoot! and Google Forms with Gemini both document quiz-generation workflows, though access and options depend on account or plan.
Choose a theme your friends will enjoy
Start with something the group shares: a favorite show, a trip, an upcoming celebration, a hobby, or a running inside joke. Decide whether the quiz should test knowledge, spark conversation, or simply be silly. That purpose helps the AI produce questions with the right tone and difficulty.

Before generating questions, settle on a few practical details: how many questions you want, whether answers should be multiple choice or another format, and how challenging the quiz should feel. If factual accuracy matters, identify trustworthy source material rather than relying on a broad topic prompt alone.

Write a prompt that gives the AI useful boundaries
A focused prompt makes the first draft easier to review. For example:

Create a 10-question multiple-choice quiz for friends who are fans of [show]. Make it medium difficulty, playful but not mean, and include four answer choices per question with the correct answer identified. Avoid spoilers beyond season two.
Replace the bracketed details with your topic and group context. For a personal quiz, specify which shared memories are fair game and avoid including private or sensitive information. If you have a document or webpage with the facts you want covered, use it as source material when your chosen tool supports that input.

Choose based on the format you want and the account access you already have—not on an assumption that either service is universally available or better for every group. Check the linked guidance for current options before you build around a particular feature.

Generate, edit, and save the quiz
In Kahoot!
- Log in and choose Create, then select the AI creation flow.
- Start with a topic or select a supported source, such as a PDF, URL, Wikipedia article, or synced slides. The guide also documents Department for Education material for teachers in Great Britain.
- Choose from the formats and settings presented to your account, including difficulty and length where available.
- Review the proposed questions and answers. Remove questions that do not fit your friends or the occasion, and edit the rest.
- Save the quiz when you are satisfied with the draft.

In Google Forms with Gemini
- Open Google Forms and use the Gemini quiz-creation feature if it is available to your account.
- Write a specific prompt. If useful, reference eligible files in Drive, such as Docs, Slides, or PDFs.
- Preview the generated quiz and adjust it before using it with your group.
Google describes this workflow in its July 30, 2026 announcement. The announcement’s listed plan categories are not a guarantee that the feature is enabled for every user within those categories.

AI can create a useful first draft, but it does not decide whether a question is accurate, fair, or right for your friends. Verify factual answers against reliable sources, especially for dates, names, quotations, and details that may change. Kahoot!’s guidance says, “Please carefully review any AI-generated content for accuracy before using it.” It also says the author remains responsible for the accuracy and suitability of AI-generated content. - Remove questions with ambiguous wording or more than one defensible answer.
- Check that incorrect choices are clearly wrong without making the correct answer obvious.
- Adjust the difficulty and tone to suit the group; rewrite generic questions around shared context where appropriate.
- Cut anything that could embarrass a friend or reveal information they would not want shared.
Keep the setup simple
The documented workflows are digital: the quiz is created in Kahoot! or Google Forms, and neither cited workflow requires a special physical product. Use the device and account you already have access to, and confirm feature availability before inviting everyone to play.
