Allow up to 10 minutes, then refresh. This registers the existing installation for dashboard management; it does not install WordPress or open wp-admin.
Enable WordPress Overview for a manual installation
- Sign in to your hosting account and open Websites.
- Find the website and click Dashboard.
- In the sidebar, open WordPress Overview. If it is not listed, search for WordPress under Website and open the result.
- If a domain selector appears, choose the domain or subdomain containing the WordPress site, then click Detect.
- Wait up to 10 minutes and refresh the page.

If the site is not detected
- Check the selected domain. If you have several sites or subdomains, make sure you selected the one where WordPress is installed. The domain selector appears only when subdomains have been created.
- Check the installation directory. In File Manager or your usual site-management method, verify that the WordPress files are in the correct directory for that website. Typical locations are
public_htmlor the domain’s root directory. - Wait and refresh. Detection may take up to 10 minutes. Refresh after that interval before trying again.
- Look for the WordPress option in the sidebar search. If you cannot see WordPress Overview directly, search for WordPress under Website.
Why the Overview section may already be enabled—or unavailable
Sites installed with Auto Installer
WordPress installed through Auto Installer should have WordPress Overview enabled automatically. The Detect process is mainly for sites installed manually or migrated into the account.
Agency Hosting
Agency Hosting does not have a separate WordPress Overview page. Some relevant site tools are available from the website’s main Dashboard instead; do not expect the Detect workflow to create a separate Overview page on this hosting type.

Overview is a management area for an existing WordPress site. It provides important site information and basic settings in the hosting dashboard, so you can manage those items without signing in to wp-admin each time. Detect makes an eligible manual or migrated installation visible there; it is not a WordPress installer.
