Magico announced the A3 2027 on October 1, 2026, as a redesigned three-way, four-driver floorstanding speaker. The company says the cabinet, drivers and crossover are new; StereoNET reports a US$25,000-per-pair launch price and expected Q1 2027 shipping. Those are announcement-era details, not confirmation of current pricing, delivery or independently verified sound performance.
What is new in the Magico A3 2027?
The layout remains three-way and four-driver, but Magico describes new cabinet construction, a revised driver complement and a new crossover. The manufacturer says development used measurement instruments also deployed for its flagship M9. That is a description of the design process, not an independent demonstration of the speaker’s performance.
Cabinet and measurement approach
Magico says it used laser vibrometry to measure panel vibration and a near-field scanner robot to map acoustic output around a three-dimensional sphere. It says those measurements informed cabinet bracing and damping. The enclosure is described as using constrained-layer damping, radiused vertical edges, a revised base and A3-specific footers. The company also describes the panels as bead-blasted and anodised, with black, silver, red and blue finishes.
Drivers and crossover
The announced drivers are a 28 mm pure-beryllium dome tweeter, a 5-inch midrange and two 7-inch woofers. The midrange and woofer cones use aluminium-honeycomb cores with carbon-fibre skins. Magico also specifies titanium voice coils and copper shorting rings in the midrange and bass drivers. The three-way crossover uses a 24 dB Linkwitz-Riley acoustic target and the company’s Elliptical Symmetry Crossover techniques; Mundorf components are identified.

What are the reported specifications and price?
StereoNET’s October 2, 2026 launch report gives the following specifications and commercial details. Frequency response and sensitivity are claimed specifications, not independently measured results for the A3 2027.
| Item | Reported A3 2027 detail |
|---|---|
| Sensitivity | 87 dB (StereoNET launch report, October 2, 2026) |
| Nominal impedance | 4 ohms (StereoNET launch report, October 2, 2026) |
| Frequency response | 25 Hz–50 kHz, claimed (StereoNET launch report, October 2, 2026) |
| Recommended amplifier power | 50–300 W (StereoNET launch report, October 2, 2026) |
| Dimensions | 235 mm wide × 280 mm deep × 1,095 mm high (StereoNET launch report, October 2, 2026) |
| Weight | 59.4 kg per speaker (StereoNET launch report, October 2, 2026) |
| Launch price | US$25,000 per pair, as reported by StereoNET on October 2, 2026; not a confirmed current quote |
| Expected shipping | Q1 2027, as reported by StereoNET on October 2, 2026; an expectation, not confirmation of shipment |
The combination of a nominal 4-ohm load, 87 dB sensitivity and a 50–300 W amplifier recommendation gives a prospective buyer useful matching parameters, but it does not establish how the speaker will perform with any particular amplifier or in a particular room. No specific amplifier pairing or audition result is established in the launch report.

How does it differ from the earlier A3?
Magico’s product page for the earlier A3 lists a 6-inch graphene/nanographene midrange, two 7-inch bass drivers, 88 dB sensitivity, a 4-ohm impedance, a 26 Hz–50 kHz response and an aluminium enclosure. Keep those figures separate from the 2027 model’s launch specifications.
| Specification | Earlier A3, Magico product page | A3 2027, StereoNET launch report |
|---|---|---|
| Midrange | 6-inch graphene/nanographene | 5-inch; aluminium-honeycomb core with carbon-fibre skins |
| Bass drivers | Two 7-inch | Two 7-inch |
| Sensitivity | 88 dB | 87 dB |
| Impedance | 4 ohms | 4 ohms |
| Frequency response | 26 Hz–50 kHz | 25 Hz–50 kHz, claimed |
| Enclosure | Aluminium | Constrained-layer damping, revised base and other construction details described by Magico; material specification not stated in the cited launch report |
The clearest documented changes are the smaller, differently constructed midrange and the one-decibel difference in listed sensitivity. The repeated two-woofer arrangement and nominal impedance do not establish that the two generations sound or behave alike; the 2027 announcement also describes a new cabinet and crossover.

What remains unknown about sound and availability?
The manufacturer describes its design methods and makes qualitative claims about reducing distortion, but the cited launch materials do not provide independently measured response, distortion figures or comparative test scores for the 2027 speaker. No independent listening review of this model is established by the sources cited here, so conclusions about its sound quality remain open.
StereoNET’s Q1 2027 shipping window is an expectation reported at launch, not proof that shipments began on that schedule. Regional pricing, dealer stock and current availability are not established by the cited sources; prospective buyers should confirm them with a local dealer.
