Check software and operating-system requirements
The current Loupedeck download page lists software version 6.4.1 for Windows and macOS. Its listed minimums are Windows 10 or later and OS X 10.15 or later. Use the current download page to check the installer and its requirements: Loupedeck downloads. Internet access is needed to download the software and connect to a Loupedeck account.

There is a documentation discrepancy for macOS: the Live S requirements article says macOS 10.14 or later, while the current product listing and download page specify 10.15 or later. Live S is a wired control surface. The product listing specifies a 2 m USB-C-to-USB-C cable, a USB-C-to-A adapter, and a detachable stand. Connect it to the computer over USB after installing the software. The manufacturer lists dimensions of 150 × 85.5 × 30 mm and a weight of 168 g; these are product specifications, not independent measurements.

Install and open Loupedeck software
Windows
- Download the Windows installer from the Loupedeck downloads page and run it.
- Open Loupedeck Setup from the taskbar icon or the Start menu.
- Connect Live S by USB if it is not already connected, then use Loupedeck Setup to choose the application and assign actions.
macOS
- Download and install the macOS version from the Loupedeck downloads page.
- Open Loupedeck software from Applications or the menu bar.
- If controls do not respond in a target application, check that Loupedeck has Accessibility permission. The older support instructions place this under System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Accessibility; macOS wording may differ by version. See the macOS installation guide.
Set up Loupedeck Live S with OBS Studio
Check the version guidance
Loupedeck’s dedicated OBS guide pairs OBS Studio 28.0 or newer with Loupedeck software 5.3, and OBS 27 or earlier with Loupedeck 5.2. Those pairings refer to older Loupedeck releases; the current downloads page lists 6.4.1. If you are using current software and the older instructions do not match your setup, check current plugin guidance or release notes rather than treating the old pairing as a compatibility guarantee. Assign OBS actions
- Open OBS Studio and Loupedeck Setup.
- In Loupedeck Setup, find the OBS actions in the action panel.
- Drag an action onto the Live S button or dial where you want it. Configure the action if its settings require it.
- Created scenes are stored in “Stored OBS Studio Actions,” according to Loupedeck’s guide.
Set up Loupedeck Live S with Streamlabs Desktop
- Open Streamlabs Desktop before assigning scene or source actions.
- In Loupedeck Setup, find the Streamlabs actions. With the newer plugin introduced in Loupedeck 5.8, scenes and sources appear in dynamic folders while Streamlabs Desktop is running.
- Drag the desired action onto a Live S button or dial. New scenes or sources may take a short time to appear.
The Streamlabs guide says a yellow dot on the Streamlabs icon indicates the plugin is not connected; opening Streamlabs Desktop is the first check. With older plugin versions, Loupedeck 5.7 or earlier, the indicator may be red. See the Streamlabs Desktop plugin guide.

Connect Twitch to Loupedeck
Twitch authorization is separate from configuring OBS or Streamlabs. You need both a Twitch account and a Loupedeck account.
- Sign in to Loupedeck Setup.
- In the action panel, choose “Hide and Show Plugins” and enable the Twitch plugin.
- Open the Twitch plugin action tab and authenticate through its browser flow.
- Assign the Twitch actions you need to buttons or dials.

Troubleshoot connection and missing-action problems
OBS shows a red status dot
- Start OBS Studio; the plugin needs OBS running.
- If OBS is already open and the red dot remains, restart Loupedeck software.
OBS scenes or sources do not appear
- In OBS, open Tools > WebSockets Server Settings.
- Check that Authentication is unchecked.
- Toggle Enable WebSockets server off and back on, then click OK.
- On Windows, run OBS and Loupedeck at the same privilege level: both as administrator or both as a standard user. Do not mix the two.
These steps come from Loupedeck’s OBS scenes and sources troubleshooting guide. If your OBS version uses different labels, consult its current documentation before changing settings.
Streamlabs will not connect
Do not run OBS Studio and Streamlabs Desktop simultaneously with Loupedeck: Loupedeck support says the two apps use the same process underneath. To recover, close the streaming apps and Loupedeck, stop Loupedeck from the system tray, then open Streamlabs Desktop followed by Loupedeck. Twitch authorization fails or returns an error page
Loupedeck’s troubleshooting instructions recommend removing the Twitch account from Loupedeck general settings and the streaming profile, logging out of both Loupedeck Setup and the Twitch website, then signing back into Loupedeck and reconnecting Twitch through Manage Plugins or account settings. The support article reports that the browser flow may show a 127.0.0.1 error page after connecting, but that is not a guarantee that authorization succeeded. If it happens, confirm the account connection in Loupedeck rather than assuming the error is harmless. See Twitch connectivity troubleshooting.
Availability, support, and what to check before buying
Logitech announced on March 28, 2025 that it would stop selling the Loupedeck product line and focus future development on the Logitech MX Creative Console and its ecosystem. Logitech said remaining Loupedeck inventory would be available through authorized retailers while supplies lasted, and that warranty claims and technical support would continue as usual. That announcement does not establish that every future MX plugin will work with Live S or guarantee support indefinitely. Read the March 28, 2025 Logitech update for the company’s stated position.

If you find a Live S for sale, verify the seller, whether it is new or used, what accessories are included, the return policy, and whether the warranty applies to that unit. The MX Creative Console is Logitech’s stated future-development focus, but the announcement alone does not establish that it has identical streamer controls or is a one-for-one replacement.
