There is no current Mint Android widget to install: Intuit announced in October 2023 that Mint was going away and invited users to continue on Credit Karma. If you want a replacement widget, check that an alternative app actually offers an Android home-screen widget—and what it displays—before choosing it. A budgeting app can replace some Mint functions without reproducing Mint’s old at-a-glance widget.
What happened to Mint on Android?
On October 31, 2023, Intuit Credit Karma announced that “Mint is going away” and invited Mint users to continue their financial journey on Credit Karma. The company described Credit Karma as supporting spending-habit, transaction, cash-flow, and net-worth tracking, along with recommendations based on financial data. Those were the company’s stated capabilities; the announcement does not establish that every Mint feature, including its widget, transferred unchanged. Read Intuit’s transition announcement.

Can Android add a Mint-style widget from another app?
No. Android provides a framework for widgets, but each app decides whether to supply one and what information or actions it exposes. A phone’s support for widgets does not create a finance widget for an app that has none. Widgets may refresh periodically, but Android’s general documentation does not promise a particular refresh schedule for any finance app. Google’s Android widget instructions explain how to find and place widgets.
How to check whether a finance app has an Android widget
- Touch and hold an empty area of the Android Home screen.
- Tap Widgets.
- Find the finance app and inspect the widgets it lists. If the app is missing, or it lists no suitable widget, Android’s setup flow cannot add one for it.
- If a useful option appears, touch and hold it, then place it on the Home screen. Google notes that steps can vary by Android version.
Check the actual widget picker on your device rather than assuming that an app’s Android listing means it includes a widget.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Which Mint alternatives should you check?
Engadget’s comparison, updated January 6, 2026, names Quicken Simplifi as its overall Mint-alternative pick and also discusses Monarch Money, NerdWallet, and YNAB. It covers general budgeting tools and considerations such as Android and iOS apps, spending and investment tracking, bank linking, and recurring-income or bill detection. It does not verify that any of these apps currently offers an Android widget with Mint-like information. Treat them as candidates to investigate, not confirmed widget replacements. See Engadget’s Mint-alternative comparison.
What to compare before switching
Start with the widget itself. A replacement is useful only if its widget shows the information you want at a glance; a budgeting app’s broader feature set cannot answer that question.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
- Widget availability: Does the app currently offer a Home-screen widget on Android?
- Displayed information: Does it show balances, transactions, budget progress, cash flow, net worth, or something else?
- Controls: Can you choose accounts or categories, and is the refresh behavior clear?
- Financial connections: Does it link to the institutions you use and support the spending or investment tracking you need?
- Budgeting approach: Is it mainly an overview dashboard, or does it expect you to set and follow an active budget?
- Current cost: What is free, what requires payment, and what does the provider currently charge?
Widget support, content, refresh behavior, prices, and availability can change. Confirm them in the app’s current documentation or on your device before switching; the comparison above does not establish those details.

Is Credit Karma the same as Mint?
Credit Karma was the transition destination Intuit named, and Intuit described several kinds of financial tracking it offered. That announcement is not evidence that Mint’s interface, every feature, or its Android widget carried over unchanged. If your main reason for using Mint was a Home-screen snapshot, verify that the replacement you are considering supplies the particular widget and data you want.
