The Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s is a slim, quiet Bluetooth keyboard built for everyday typing across a computer, tablet and phone. Its three-device switching and low weight make it convenient to carry, but the compact circular keys take adjustment, there is no backlighting, and Logitech’s published battery-life estimates conflict. It suits mobile work and casual office typing better than dark-room use or competitive gaming.
What the K380s is like to use
The K380s uses a low-profile scissor mechanism and circular keycaps in a compact layout. RTINGS describes it as quiet and suitable for office use, while Windows Central reported consistent, quiet typing during several weeks of hands-on use. Those assessments point to a good fit for shared spaces and mobile setups, not necessarily for every typing preference.

The unusual key shape and close spacing can feel cramped if you are accustomed to a full-size keyboard. Both RTINGS and Windows Central note that the layout may take time to get used to. Logitech specifies 1.5 ± 0.3 mm of total key travel and 60 ± 10 gf actuation force; those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of typing feel. The short travel may feel abrupt to people who press keys forcefully.
The typing angle is fixed: Windows Central notes there are no adjustable feet. There is also no backlighting, so the keyboard is less convenient in a dim room. RTINGS notes that media functions are available on the F-row by default, but there are no dedicated media keys.

Size, connectivity and compatibility
At 279.5 × 124.2 × 16.4 mm, the K380s is compact enough to move between a desk and a bag. Logitech lists its weight as 395 g without batteries and 415 g with them. It connects using Bluetooth Low Energy and can pair with three devices; Logitech describes switching among them with the Easy-Switch buttons.
Logitech lists compatibility with Windows 10/11 or later, macOS 11 or later, iPadOS 14 or later, iOS 14 or later, Android 9.0 or later, Chrome OS and Linux. Its support guidance says key functions adapt to the active operating system. If detection fails—or if you use a Bolt receiver—you can select the operating system manually. Shortcuts are not identical across every platform; Logitech’s support documentation shows some platform-specific differences.

No receiver is included with the standalone keyboard. Logitech says the Logi Bolt USB receiver comes with the Pebble 2 Combo, not the standalone K380s. The keyboard can be used over Bluetooth and is compatible with a Logi Bolt receiver if you need one; check the exact receiver listing before buying.

Battery life: Logitech’s estimates do not match
The K380s takes two AAA alkaline batteries. Logitech’s getting-started guidance estimates up to 36 months, while its separate specification page says more than 50 months. These are manufacturer estimates, not independently measured runtime figures. Because the published claims conflict, the more conservative “up to 36 months” figure is the safer one to use when setting expectations. Actual battery life will depend on use.
How it compares with other compact keyboards
The K380s makes the most sense when quiet typing, portability and switching between three Bluetooth devices matter more than a conventional layout or extra features. When comparing it with alternatives, focus on the trade-offs that affect your setup:
Rank #4
- Pebble Keys 2 K380s includes the following improvements compared to K380: latest Bluetooth 5.1 (robust connectivity, secure DFU, Swift pair) with added support for Logitech Bolt receiver; new must-have shortcuts such as Emoji menu, dictation, screenshot; 36 months battery-life (K380s) compared to 24 months (K380); Logi Options+ support (APP profiles, Logi Flow compatibility, low battery notifications)
- Easily Hop Across 3 Devices: Use Bluetooth to connect up to 3 wireless devices across OSs (Windows, macOS, iPadOS, ChromeOS), and switch between them with one click of the Easy-Switch buttons
- Save Time: Get instant access to search, screen capture, the emoji menu and more with Fn shortcut keys; personalize the 10 Fn keys with Logi Options+ app (2) so you can do things your way.
- Feel-Good Typing at Your Fingertips: The Pebble Keys 2 K380s Quiet Keyboard comes with scooped round keys and a familiar, laptop-like typing experience for effortless, comfy typing.
- Go for Longer: This wireless keyboard gives you hours of use with a 3-year battery (3), auto-sleep power-saving mode, and 50% more battery life (4), for worry-free usage; batteries included
- Key layout: The K380s has circular keys and close spacing. If that feels cramped, look for a more conventional layout or fuller, dished keycaps.
- Connection and responsiveness: Bluetooth suits ordinary typing across paired devices. For lower-latency tasks, compare models that also offer a 2.4 GHz receiver.
- Power: The K380s uses replaceable AAA cells. A keyboard with an internal rechargeable battery may suit you better if you prefer charging over replacing batteries.
- Low-light use: The K380s has no backlighting. Choose an illuminated model if you regularly type in dim surroundings.
- Tablet handling: The K380s does not provide a built-in phone or tablet stand. If you want one, compare keyboards with an integrated stand or tray.
- Portability and protection: Consider the keyboard’s size and weight alongside any protective cover or case you would need to carry it safely.
RTINGS discusses the Keychron B1 Pro, Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 and Logitech K480 among compact alternatives, but their features and availability can change by model and region. Compare the current versions against the needs above rather than assuming they are interchangeable.
Who should buy the Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s?
Choose it if you want a lightweight, quiet keyboard for everyday typing and value moving between three Bluetooth devices. Be ready for a compact, circular-key layout and accept that the typing angle is fixed.

If close spacing bothers you, you type for long periods on a more conventional layout, or you need to see keys in a dark room, a different keyboard is likely a better fit. RTINGS considers the K380s capable of casual gaming, but not responsive enough for fast-paced or competitive play; its review also flags limited rollover.
