If your scheduled YouTube live stream is still offline, first verify the scheduled time in your device’s time zone, the connected YouTube channel, and the link between your LiveReacting project and the intended YouTube event. Then check LiveReacting’s dashboard for errors. If LiveReacting says the stream is live while YouTube says offline, LiveReacting says YouTube may still be processing the start; its guidance does not give a universal wait time.
Work through these checks in order
- Verify the scheduled time and time zone. LiveReacting uses your device’s time zone when scheduling. Compare the event time with the intended local start and check the device’s current zone. LiveReacting’s scheduling guidance says its workflow can schedule YouTube streams up to two weeks ahead. LiveReacting’s scheduling instructions.
- Confirm the destination channel. In LiveReacting, check that the project is connected to the YouTube channel where you expect the event to appear, and that the connection is still active. A different channel or an expired connection can leave the intended event untouched. LiveReacting recommends checking the channel connection when a stream fails. LiveReacting’s offline-stream troubleshooting.
- Check the LiveReacting dashboard for errors. Look for a displayed error before changing settings or rebuilding the event. Record the message, if any, so you can use it to guide the next step or when contacting support.
- Make sure the project is associated with the right YouTube event. If you created the event directly in YouTube, LiveReacting’s advanced setting can connect the project to that existing scheduled stream. Select the intended event; LiveReacting says the event dropdown retrieves details such as its title and description from the channel. Its help article lists this feature as requiring the Medium plan or higher. Scheduling and existing-stream settings.
- Allow for startup processing if the statuses disagree. When LiveReacting reports live but YouTube shows offline, LiveReacting’s stated explanation is: “YouTube is usually still processing the stream start.” This is LiveReacting’s guidance, not a YouTube guarantee. It does not specify a fixed number of minutes to wait, so the status mismatch alone does not prove the stream has failed. LiveReacting’s troubleshooting article.
- If the stream failed outright, reconnect and recreate it. Confirm the channel connection first. If the dashboard indicates failure rather than a startup status mismatch, LiveReacting recommends recreating the stream and starting again. LiveReacting’s troubleshooting steps.
If it is a multi-date or repeat schedule
LiveReacting says advanced schedules save a snapshot of the project’s state. In its multi-date and repeat scheduling modes, dates, duration, title, and description cannot be edited in place after scheduling. If one of those details is wrong, cancel the scheduled version, make the project changes, and schedule it again. These restrictions apply to those advanced schedule modes; do not assume they describe every LiveReacting schedule. LiveReacting’s scheduling guidance.

Choose how to associate the YouTube event
| Path | When it fits | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule through LiveReacting | You have not made the YouTube event separately. | Check the device time zone and confirm the correct channel before scheduling. |
| Connect to an existing YouTube stream | You already scheduled the event in YouTube. | Use LiveReacting’s advanced “Connect to existing stream” setting and select the intended event. LiveReacting lists this feature as requiring Medium plan or higher. |
These are two configuration paths, not competing fixes: choose the one that matches how the event was created. If the project is attached to a different event, correcting the association matters more than waiting on a status mismatch. LiveReacting’s event-association instructions.

The available LiveReacting guidance covers scheduling, channel connection, dashboard errors, event association, and recreating a failed stream. It does not establish the cause of an individual account or channel problem, a YouTube outage, or a network issue. If the intended time, channel, and event association are correct but the dashboard still reports an error, share the exact error and event details with LiveReacting support rather than inferring a cause from the offline label alone.
