The Linsar LS32CHD12V is a basic, non-Smart 32-inch HD television with a built-in DVD player, USB playback and recording, and a supplied 12V car adaptor. What the LS32CHD12V is
Linsar’s product page describes a 32-inch LED television with 1366 × 768 resolution, an integrated DVD player, two USB inputs, USB media playback, USB PVR recording, a built-in HD tuner and a supplied 12V car adaptor. The page gives a 2019 release year and states that the set is not a Smart TV (Linsar Australia product page). The manufacturer calls it an HD set, not a 4K or connected-TV model.

The built-in DVD player is locked to Region 4
The DVD drive is set to Region 4 at the factory, and the manual says the setting cannot be changed. Region 4 covers Australia and New Zealand, so local discs will play. Imported discs coded for other regions, such as Region 1 (North America), may not play. Check the disc’s region code before buying or importing discs.
USB playback and PVR recording
The set supports USB media playback and PVR recording with timeshift, according to Linsar’s product page. The manual recommends FAT32 for USB storage and warns that unsupported codecs, containers or encoding settings can stop a file from playing. It also says device compatibility varies. A FAT32-formatted drive is the safest starting point, but it does not guarantee that every video file will play, so test your own files before relying on the set for recording.

Smart TV status and streaming
The LS32CHD12V is not a Smart TV, and Linsar’s page does not list built-in streaming apps. To watch streaming services, you would need an external device connected through an HDMI input or a USB media source. The 1366 × 768 panel also limits picture detail compared with 1080p or 4K sets, which matters more for streaming content.

Using it on 12V power
The supplied adaptor and the manual’s DC 12 V, 5 A input make 12V operation a documented use. Before connecting it in a vehicle or caravan, confirm the following:

The set uses a 200 mm mounting pattern. A VESA bracket is not included. The manual specifies four M6 × 10 mm screws or longer, as the bracket maker requires. Follow the bracket’s load and screw-length guidance, and do not use screws that protrude into the set’s rear panel.

HDMI inputs: the unresolved count
Linsar’s product page lists two HDMI inputs, while CHOICE’s listing shows three. The manual gives HDMI 1.4a and HDCP 1.4 specifications but does not settle the number of ports. Check the rear-panel labelling on your unit before planning cable connections. If the labelling is unclear, contact Linsar support with the model number and serial number printed on the rating label.
