Lightspeed POS has separate products for restaurants, retailers and golf facilities, so there is no single price that applies to every business. On the official US pricing pages observed October 7, 2026, Restaurant plans start at $69 per month, Retail (X-Series) plans at $89 per month, and Golf is quote-based. Those subscription prices are only a starting point: hardware, payment processing, add-ons, locations and contract terms can change the total.
Lightspeed POS pricing at a glance
The published prices below are from Lightspeed’s US pages observed on October 7, 2026. They are vendor-listed starting prices, not a complete estimate for a particular setup. Lightspeed says Restaurant prices may vary by business type and industry; its Retail page also warns that prices may vary and additional service fees may apply. Confirm billing period, eligibility and configuration in the current checkout or a written quote.

Restaurant
The Restaurant offering is aimed at food-service workflows, with advertised capabilities including customizable POS, menu management, floor plans, insights, payment integration, online ordering, inventory tools and multi-location functions. Reservations-related options and other capabilities may depend on configuration. KDS is listed as an add-on at $30 per screen per month on the US pricing page observed October 7, 2026.
Before choosing a plan, map the ordering channels and service flow you need: counter service, table service, online orders, kitchen screens and multiple locations may each affect the setup. Retail (X-Series)
Retail X-Series is described for independent retailers and growing or established operations. Advertised capabilities include inventory management, online and in-store selling, loyalty, reporting, accounting, ecommerce and marketing integrations, and mobile scanner functions.
Compare how each plan handles your inventory and purchase-order process, the number of locations and registers you need, ecommerce connections, reporting, and support. The US Retail pricing page observed October 7, 2026 lists card-present Lightspeed Payments at 2.6% + $0.10. Treat this as a vendor-listed rate, not a guaranteed effective rate for every merchant; confirm eligibility and terms in your agreement. See Retail pricing.

Golf
Lightspeed Golf’s advertised tools include tee-sheet management, events, a player database, business intelligence, dynamic pricing, online booking, SMS marketing, live support and monthly updates. The official pricing page offers a personalized quote rather than a fixed public monthly price.
Ask the sales representative to scope the facility’s tee-sheet and booking needs alongside any pro shop, food-and-beverage operations, payment processing and required modules. Ensure the quote identifies what is included and what costs extra. See Golf pricing.

What the subscription price leaves out
A monthly plan price is not the same as the full cost of operating the system. The final amount depends on the configuration and agreement. Request an itemized estimate covering:

- Hardware: terminals, tablets, printers, scanners and other peripherals, plus one-time setup or implementation charges. The general POS overview references countertop stations and iPads; do not assume a particular device or accessory is included or compatible without confirmation.
- Scale: additional locations, registers or screens. Confirm how each affects recurring charges, particularly if you need multiple KDS screens.
- Add-ons and modules: identify any feature you need that is paid separately or requires a custom quote.
- Service and contract: support scope, data migration, service fees, billing frequency, renewal terms and any payment commitments.
If you are sourcing an optional iPad POS stand or countertop accessory, confirm the exact device and mount compatibility with Lightspeed or the hardware supplier before buying; the cited product information does not establish compatibility for every setup.
How to compare a Lightspeed quote
- State your vertical and geography. Specify restaurant, Retail X-Series or golf, and the country where the system will be used. The prices above are published on US pages and should not be treated as worldwide pricing.
- List the operating setup. Give the number of sites, registers or terminals, screens, staff workflows, and sales channels you expect to use.
- Separate included features from extras. Ask the provider to identify each module, integration, support service and add-on included in the quoted plan, with recurring and one-time charges shown separately.
- Get payment terms in writing. Request the applicable processing rates and fees for your account, and clarify what transactions or payment methods those rates cover.
- Check the contract and total. Confirm billing frequency, renewal and cancellation terms, hardware and implementation costs, migration scope, and any service fees. Compare quotes using the same configuration and time period.
What the published material can—and cannot—tell you
Lightspeed’s official pages are useful for its listed US starting prices and advertised features, but they do not independently establish uptime, ease of use, support quality or customer satisfaction. The Restaurant page also cites a claim of “40% fewer clicks” for check splitting, discounting and other basic workflows versus certain industry-leading systems, based on Lightspeed’s internal testing in August 2022. That is a vendor claim with a limited comparison and test context, not an independent benchmark or a guarantee of results for a particular business.
For a buyer, the unresolved figure is the final price for the actual configuration: geography, vertical, modules, locations or registers, hardware, payment rate and service fees all matter. Use the published plan figures as a starting point, then request a current, itemized quote for your business.
