Download the Windows build that matches your PC
- Open the official LibreOffice download page.
- Select the Windows build matching the computer: x86-64 for a compatible 64-bit Intel or AMD PC, or ARM64 for a Windows-on-ARM PC. The page lists 26.8.0 for both architectures.
- Use the page’s download link, mirror, or torrent option. The x86-64 download page specifies Windows 10 or newer; the sources do not state an equivalent minimum Windows version for the ARM64 build.
- Run the downloaded installer. Administrator rights are required. Back up your system and data before installing or removing software, as LibreOffice recommends.
Check Windows requirements before installing
LibreOffice’s general system-requirements page lists Windows 10 or 11 and Windows Server 2012 through 2022, and says Windows 11 is fully supported. The x86-64 version-specific page separately sets Windows 10 or newer as its minimum; do not assume that this same version-specific minimum is stated for ARM64.

These requirements are published by The Document Foundation; the requirements page does not state a publication year. Java is needed for some features, including Base, but not for most LibreOffice features.

What is new in LibreOffice 26.8?
The official download page highlights Markdown import and export, connectors in Writer and Calc, and improvements affecting EPUB export, scrolling, SVG export with bitmaps, and 3D charts. These are vendor descriptions, not independent performance test results. For the current release number and available Windows builds, check the official download page before downloading, since release status can change.
