LG Energy Solution and U.S. commercial EV startup indiGOtech have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore supplying battery cells for indiGOtech’s planned Flow Ride and Flow Cargo vehicles. The companies are also considering technical work on integrating the batteries with vehicles and verifying performance. A final supply agreement has not been signed.
What does the MoU cover?
LG Energy Solution’s October 1, 2026 announcement describes a potential supply of its 46-series nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) cylindrical battery cells from 2027 through 2030 for indiGOtech’s planned Flow Ride and Flow Cargo vehicles. The parties also intend to work on vehicle-battery integration and performance verification as part of joint business development. LG Energy Solution’s announcement says the companies will work toward a final agreement.

indiGOtech’s September 30 announcement describes a broader scope: cells for future vehicles and energy transfer stations, alongside integration, performance validation and commercial development. The company says these efforts are intended to support usable range, charging windows, battery life and fleet uptime; those are stated aims, not demonstrated results. indiGOtech’s announcement

No. The MoU is explicitly non-binding, and the releases describe a definitive agreement as a future objective. They do not disclose an order volume, contract value or final purchase commitment. The 2027–2030 period is the contemplated supply window, not confirmation that shipments are contractually secured.

What are Flow Ride and Flow Cargo?
They are the planned vehicles named as potential applications for the cells: Flow Ride and Flow Cargo. The announcements do not provide a vehicle launch date or enough specifications to assess either vehicle’s range, charging time or performance.
What is the technical collaboration intended to do?
The announcements describe work to integrate batteries with vehicles and validate performance. indiGOtech presents its business as combining vehicles, charging and energy systems, and digital fleet services. The releases do not publish test results or figures for energy density, charging time, cycle life, cost or order volume, so the proposed collaboration should not be read as proof of particular operating benefits.
