Team Liquid won the final 3:1. That is a strong Finals peak—not proof that the whole split’s average audience recovered.

The Summer Finals peak came after a weaker Spring 2026 playoffs result, but the available figures measure different things and should not be treated as a direct average-to-peak comparison.

Summer’s 279,217 peak is above Spring 2023’s 271,376 peak, but that comparison does not establish that Summer 2026’s full-split average exceeded Spring 2023’s, or that the season-wide audience is back to a previous level. The cited Summer report provides the Finals peak and broadcast-growth comparisons, not an overall Summer average.

What changed across language streams and channels?
Compared with Spring 2026, Esports Charts reported that peak viewers increased 44.1% for English-language broadcasts and 71.6% for Spanish-language broadcasts. Channel coverage rose from 100 to 126. These are specific broadcast and channel measures, not a single all-platform total.
Caedrel ranked first among channels by Hours Watched and Peak Viewers, and his airtime increased sixfold from Spring, according to Esports Charts’ Summer coverage. These figures point to co-streaming and Spanish-language viewership as relevant features of the event’s audience mix, but they do not establish that any one channel or language caused the Finals peak.

What do “peak viewers” and “average viewers” mean?
Riot distinguishes peak concurrent viewership (PCU)—the number of people watching at one time globally—from average minute audience (AMA), the audience watching on average each minute. Riot says these are primary performance metrics and that it worked with Nielsen on their definition and calculation. - Peak concurrent viewers: a high-water mark at one moment. Use this for the 279,217 Finals figure.
- Average audience: a measure across the broadcast period. It cannot be inferred from a peak.
- Unique viewers or reach: people counted across a period, potentially including brief visits. The cited peak figure does not provide this count.
Can the 2025 LTA Summer final be compared directly?
Insider Gaming reported 318,000 viewers for the 2025 LTA Summer final. That competition’s structure combined the LCS and CBLOL, so it is not a like-for-like standalone LCS comparison. Where did the Summer event rank among regional leagues?
Esports Charts ranked the LCS Summer event third among the six regional leagues serving as qualifiers for Worlds 2026. The publisher cautioned that the ranking could change after CBLOL Split 2 concludes.
