Non, les annonces disponibles ne prouvent pas que Nintendo vend la Switch 2 à perte. Cette affirmation a été attribuée à un reportage de Bloomberg relayé par GamesRadar+, mais Nintendo n’a pas publié de marge par console. Que signifie « vendue à la casse » dans ce contexte ?
La formule du titre peut laisser entendre que la Switch 2 est bradée. Ce n’est pas ce que montrent les annonces officielles : elles documentent une hausse de prix, pas une vente au rabais. La question pertinente est plutôt de savoir si Nintendo vendait la console à perte avant cette hausse.
GamesRadar+ rapporte que Bloomberg évoquait des investisseurs et analystes jugeant le prix initial de 450 $ non viable et estimant que Nintendo vendait déjà la machine à perte. Il s’agit d’une affirmation rapportée par une source secondaire, pas d’une marge communiquée par Nintendo. La hausse ultérieure ne permet pas, à elle seule, de conclure que Nintendo perdait de l’argent sur chaque vente auparavant. Prix public, coût de fabrication et marge sont des éléments distincts.

Comment ces hausses se comparent-elles à celles de PlayStation et Xbox ?
Les trois fabricants ont annoncé des augmentations, mais elles ne sont pas parfaitement comparables : les dates, territoires et modèles concernés varient. Les hausses Sony et Microsoft documentées ici datent de 2025, avant la révision du prix Switch 2 en 2026.

Sony a justifié les hausses annoncées dans certains marchés par un environnement économique difficile, notamment l’inflation et les fluctuations des taux de change. Pourquoi augmente-t-il, et que sait-on réellement ?
L’explication publique de Nintendo est l’évolution des conditions de marché et des perspectives mondiales de son activité. Elle justifie la décision de modifier le prix conseillé, mais ne révèle pas combien coûte la fabrication d’une Switch 2 ni si chaque console vendue génère une perte ou un bénéfice.
