Goofy equips shields in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. The table below lists the shields documented in the game reference, their Strength and Magic bonuses, Final Mix abilities, and how to obtain them. Final Mix ability names matter: for example, Genji Shield grants Hyper Healing here, rather than the Lucky Lucky ability listed for the original release. This guide covers the Final Mix edition included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (official collection information).
Goofy shield locations and stats
Strength and Magic values below are equipment bonuses. Acquisition details and abilities are from the community-maintained KHII weapons reference; shop availability and enemy drops may depend on game progression.

Which shields suit different goals?
For a straightforward progression upgrade
Shop shields offer a defined purchase route rather than depending on a drop or challenge rank. Dreamcloud adds +4 Strength and is described as focused on attacking; it has no listed ability. Knight Defender reaches +7 Strength, but costs 2,000 Munny at Stiltzkin’s Moogle Shop. The best fit depends on which shop is available and how much Munny you want to spend.

Ogre Shield has Defender, while Genji Shield’s Final Mix ability is Hyper Healing. Synthesis options add other effects: Frozen Pride+ provides MP Hastega, Save the King has Item Boost, and Save the King+ has Damage Control. For damage absorption, the Mushroom XIII shields are distinctive: Majestic Mushroom’s Protect absorbs 10% of damage taken, and Majestic Mushroom+’s Protectra absorbs 20%. The reference lists rank-dependent chances for these two rewards, so they are not guaranteed just for clearing a member’s challenge. Majestic Mushroom details.

- Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ [ II ]
- Release Date: March 29, 2007
- Players: Single Player
For the highest listed Strength
Save the King, Save the King+, and Ultimate Mushroom each have +9 Strength. Their abilities and routes differ: the Save the King shields are synthesized, while Ultimate Mushroom is a Mushroom XIII reward with Protectga. The reference describes Ultimate Mushroom as higher in strength and absorption than the other mushroom shields, but does not provide a specific absorption percentage for it.
Synthesis details for Save the King
The Save the King entry lists a recipe requiring a King Recipe and these materials: 1 Orichalcum, 3 Twilight Crystals, 5 Twilight Gems, 7 Twilight Stones, and 9 Twilight Shards. Save the King+ is made through synthesis with a Serenity Crystal modifier. These details, along with the +9 Strength and abilities, are listed in the Save the King reference.

Use the Final Mix abilities when choosing equipment for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, not the original KHII ability list. The clearest documented example is Genji Shield: Final Mix assigns Hyper Healing, while the original KHII version has Lucky Lucky. Mushroom XIII shields are also Final Mix-specific. The game collection’s official manual provides edition context; item statistics and routes come from community-maintained game references, not an official equipment manual.
