Short answer: Jujutsu: Zero clans have grades, comparative tier placements and gameplay bonuses, but those are three different things. The current official clan list ranks 27 clans from S+ to D; it does not publish drop odds or exact passive values. Use the ranking as one dated reference, then choose a clan for your build, verified effects and availability rather than assuming the rarest clan is automatically strongest.
What a clan does in Jujutsu: Zero
Jujutsu: Zero is a Roblox experience made by Studio Resonance. Its Roblox listing still describes the experience as a beta, so clan rules, names and balance can change between updates. A clan is a character affiliation that can influence a build through passive stat effects or other modifiers. It is not the same thing as your cursed technique, weapon or level.

- Grade or rarity describes a category or, when officially published, how likely a clan is to be obtained.
- Tier ranking is a source’s opinion or assessment of relative usefulness. It may reflect a particular patch, activity or build.
- Bonus means the actual in-game effect, such as a stat increase or a trade-off. A bonus is only reliable when its value and conditions are confirmed for the current version.
A clan can therefore be placed in a high tier without being the rarest roll, or be difficult to obtain without being the best choice for your character. Treat those labels as separate data points.

The current official clan tier list
The Jujutsu Zero Official Wiki’s clan page was updated on August 11, 2026. It lists 27 clans in six groups: S+, S, A, B, C and D. The page is a tier list, not a probability table, and gives no tested universal performance formula or explanation for each placement. The groups below reproduce that dated list.

For example, Sukuna appears in S, Gojo in A and Itadori in D. Those placements demonstrate how the wiki groups clans by its own ranking system; they do not establish Sukuna’s acquisition chance, Gojo’s exact passive values or a universal damage order. Check the official Clan Tier List after a patch because the page’s date is part of the evidence.
Why a high tier is not the same as high rarity
Players commonly ask which clan to aim for and how rare it is. The official pages currently available do not answer the second part with a live odds table. A tier is a comparative ranking; rarity is an acquisition property. A ranking editor could place a commonly rolled clan above a very rare one if its effect fits more builds, performs better in the activities being considered or has fewer drawbacks.

Conversely, a rare clan can be a poor fit for a particular character. If its passive favors a resource you do not use, its opportunity cost may outweigh its prestige. Even a top-tier placement can lose value when a patch changes a skill, enemy health, mode rules or the clan’s own passive.
Use this order when comparing rolls:
- Identify the activity you play most, such as general progression, boss fights or player-versus-player content.
- Confirm the clan’s current passive effects and any disadvantages in an official in-game description or developer-maintained reference.
- Use the dated S+–D placement as a secondary signal, not proof of a guaranteed result.
- Check whether the clan is currently obtainable, limited or restricted to a particular event.
- Only use an acquisition percentage when a current authoritative source states the rate and its conditions.
What is actually known about clan bonuses
The reviewed official Roblox listing and official wiki tier page do not provide a clan-by-clan table of exact passive statistics. There are no verified current percentages, flat values or named formulas that can be quoted from those pages. That means a guide should not present a number such as “this clan gives 25% more damage” as an official live fact unless the number is visible in a current game or developer reference.
A fan-maintained clan category describes clans as granting different stat benefits and sometimes disadvantages. It is useful for understanding the general mechanic, but it may be stale and does not replace a current in-game tooltip. Before spending rolls, record the exact wording shown in your client, including whether an effect applies to a base stat, a skill, a resource, a mode or a conditional trigger.

How to read a bonus without overvaluing it
- Flat versus percentage: a fixed amount and a percentage may scale very differently as your level or equipment changes.
- Base versus derived stat: a modifier to a base attribute may affect several derived values, while a skill-specific modifier may affect only one attack.
- Always-on versus conditional: an effect that requires low health, a particular technique or a party state may be powerful only in a narrow situation.
- Benefit versus drawback: compare the full tooltip. A larger offensive number may come with reduced defense, resource gain or consistency.
- Mode restrictions: an effect that shines in one activity should not be treated as a universal upgrade.
Clan storage, swapping and rolling
The fan-maintained reference says a player receives a clan bag with up to three additional slots, allowing up to four clans in total, and can swap clans through the bag or roll the equipped clan. It also describes rolls coming from the menu, quests, codes, Lumens or Robux. These are secondary-source descriptions and can change with the beta; verify the labels and costs in your current client before planning around them.
A safe way to handle a new roll
- Capture the starting state. Note your equipped clan, stored clans and the exact tooltip text before rolling.
- Inspect the bag. Confirm how many storage slots your account actually has and whether a swap preserves the old clan.
- Compare the complete effect. Read every line, including drawbacks and conditions, rather than judging the clan name or letter tier alone.
- Protect a known fit. If a stored clan supports your main activity, keep it until the replacement’s effect is verified.
- Check the current cost. The fan page’s roll sources and prices are not guaranteed live values; use the in-game menu for the amount charged now.
- Recheck after updates. A patch can alter a passive, move a clan between tiers or remove an event roll without changing your saved notes.
Do not roll solely because a community table labels your clan as low tier. A lower-ranked clan with a verified effect that matches your build can outperform a higher-ranked option that you cannot use effectively.
Availability and limited clans
The official wiki homepage’s coverage of the August 31, 2026 Awakened Limitless update reports a “LIMITED Gojo Awakened clan.” The word limited signals that availability may be event-based or time-sensitive, but the page does not establish that it remains obtainable on October 15, 2026. Check the live game and the current official announcements before treating any limited clan as rollable.

Availability matters as much as a tier placement. A clan can appear on a list yet be unavailable through ordinary rolls, tied to an event, or replaced by an awakened variant with different effects. Keep the update date beside any screenshot or tier list you use.

The fan-maintained Fandom page includes grade odds and roll information, while an independent guide at jujutsuzero.app presents another odds table and different clan categories. Those figures conflict, and neither is a current official confirmation. The official tier page itself publishes no drop percentages. Repeating one of the conflicting tables as a live rate would give a false sense of precision.

- Patch date: an older table may describe a pre-rebalance system.
- Definition: “grade chance” might refer to a roll category, not the chance of a particular clan.
- Sample size: player anecdotes are not a controlled estimate of server-wide odds.
- Source authority: a developer or current in-game disclosure outranks an unsourced community spreadsheet.
Until a current authoritative table appears, describe clan odds as unconfirmed rather than converting an old percentage into a promise.
Choosing a clan for your build
For a new account
Prioritize a clearly useful, verified effect and survivability over a prestigious name. Early progression often rewards consistency: a modest always-on benefit can save more time than a conditional high-roll effect you cannot activate reliably.
For a specialized damage build
Match the passive to the damage source you actually use. Confirm whether the effect modifies your technique, general attack, resource generation or a particular status. A tier placement can help you shortlist candidates, but the tooltip and your rotation decide whether the clan is valuable.

Account for defensive drawbacks and uptime. A clan that ranks highly for burst may be worse in a long fight if its benefit requires a condition you cannot maintain. Record the encounter and patch when evaluating it so a balance change does not invalidate your conclusion.
For player-versus-player play
Look for effects that improve reliability, mobility or resource timing in the current ruleset. Community tiers may combine several activities, so a placement is not a substitute for mode-specific testing.
A patch-proof checklist
- Write down the clan name, tooltip wording and the date you checked it.
- Separate the clan’s grade from its tier placement in your notes.
- Mark every number as official, in-game observed or community-reported.
- Check the Roblox listing and official wiki homepage for update context.
- Use the dated tier list only within its August 11, 2026 scope.
- Confirm whether an awakened or limited version is a separate clan before comparing it with the standard version.
- Do not spend currency based on an odds percentage that lacks a current official source.
Bottom line for clan hunting
The most defensible current answer is that Jujutsu: Zero has 27 clans on the official August 11, 2026 S+–D tier list, but that list does not reveal rarity odds or exact bonuses. Treat rarity, tier and bonus as separate questions. Choose a clan by the verified effect and drawback for your activity, use the dated ranking as context, and recheck availability and mechanics after every major update.
