No: the sources available for this article do not confirm that Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 has either Steam Deck Verified or Steam Machine Verified status. A preview of a pre-release demo reported how the game ran on Steam Deck, but that is not the same as a Valve compatibility badge. Has Boltgun 2 been verified for Steam Deck or Steam Machine?
Neither badge is confirmed by the sources reviewed here. Auroch Digital’s September 23, 2026 release and feature announcement does not claim Steam Deck or Steam Machine verification. A third-party Steam Machine compatibility listing dated October 5 does not include Boltgun 2; because that listing is a dated snapshot, its omission does not establish that Valve has not rated the game.

Steam Deck HQ’s Noah Kupetsky published a hands-on preview on May 21, 2026, using a pre-release demo. The author reports running it at 1280×800 resolution and 100% resolution scale. Performance stayed near 60 FPS in many smaller fights, while demanding end-of-level fights dropped below 60 FPS but remained above 30 FPS.

The preview also says gyro aiming worked after it was configured in Steam Input with “As Mouse.” These are observations from one writer’s demo session, not a final-release performance guarantee, a general compatibility verdict, or Valve certification.
When and where does Boltgun 2 launch?
Auroch Digital announced that Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 launches October 14, 2026, on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The developer says the Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow at a later date; it has not given a date for that version in the announcement. The developer’s September 23, 2026 Steam Community feature recap repeats the release plan. PC Gamer’s October release calendar also lists October 14 for Steam.

What has the developer announced about the sequel?
Auroch Digital describes a branching campaign with more than 30 levels, in which players choose the next planet. The developer has also announced 40+ new enemies drawn from the Chaos factions of Nurgle, Tzeentch, Khorne and Slaanesh, and two playable characters: Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath. Composer Mick Gordon created music for the final boss battle, according to the developer. These are announced features, not independent assessments of the released game.
