There is no documented official PC edition of The Simpsons Game in its original 2007 release lineup. Electronic Arts announced versions for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS—not PC—so the real choice is among those console and handheld editions.
Was The Simpsons Game released on PC?
EA’s October 30, 2007 release announcement lists six platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS. It does not list PC. GameSpot’s platform records also catalog console and handheld versions rather than a PC edition (GameSpot platform listing).

That answers the question for the original release: there was no announced official PC-versus-console edition choice. This describes the 2007 release lineup; it does not establish whether an unofficial fan project exists in 2026.

#1 Best Overall
- Action-comedy with hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline crafted by TV show's Emmy Award-winning writers
- Full cast of voice actors from the TV show and movie lend to the ultimate authenticity and realism of the game
- Play as all members of your favorite dysfunctional TV family as you battle to save them from video-game purgatory
- Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos
- Journey through all of Springfield, vanquish an array of villains, and fight through parodies of multiple popular games
How should you choose a version?
Choose by hardware first
Start with a system you own or can reliably access. Confirm the copy’s platform and region match your hardware before buying; a listing for Xbox 360, for example, is a legacy physical game for Xbox 360 hardware, not a PC product. Live stock, condition, region, and seller terms can change, so check those details on the listing.
Choose DS for a distinct handheld design
The Nintendo DS version is described as a separately developed side-scrolling adventure. If that format and handheld play appeal to you, consider it on its own terms rather than assuming it reproduces the home-console game. The available platform evidence does not establish a complete feature-by-feature comparison across all six editions.

Do not assume the home-console versions are interchangeable
EA’s announcement confirms the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PS2 editions, but the available documentation does not provide a complete, authoritative matrix of their differences or establish a quality ranking. A secondary overview mentions a Cop Marge power-up exclusive to PS3 and Xbox 360; treat that specific detail as secondary-source information and verify it against the exact edition before using it to decide.

What is shared across the release?
EA described the game as an original story written with the television show’s writers and voiced by the original cast. Its 2007 announcement also advertised more than 40 minutes of new animated scenes. Those are publisher statements about the game, not a guarantee that every version has identical content or presentation.

The ESRB rates the main record covering PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, and Xbox 360 Teen for alcohol and tobacco references, animated blood, cartoon violence, crude humor, language, and suggestive themes (ESRB rating record). The separate DS record is also Teen; its displayed descriptors include alcohol and tobacco references, animated blood, cartoon violence, crude humor, and mild language, but not suggestive themes (ESRB DS rating record).

EA’s service update page includes The Simpsons Game for PS3 and Xbox 360 among entries predating 2013. That historical listing is not confirmation of current storefront availability, current used-game stock, or how the game behaves offline.
