Its published dimensions, connection requirements and energy figures are useful for assessing fit, but they do not establish how it performs in everyday use. Here is what Electrolux documents—and what the available independent review does not show.
What the EHE6899BA offers
Electrolux lists a French-door layout with a FlexFresh convertible drawer, humidity-controlled crispers, adjustable shelving, in-door filtered ice and water, frost-free cooling, connectivity and its TwinTech Cooling System. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent findings about food freshness or performance. Electrolux’s product page identifies the finish as dark stainless steel.

How the FlexFresh drawer works
The drawer is specified to operate from -23°C to +7°C, allowing it to be set for different uses rather than serving only as a refrigerator drawer. Electrolux lists these presets:

The available product details do not give a temperature for Ultra Chill. Treat the listed settings as the manufacturer’s specifications, not a guarantee of a particular chilling result.

Will it fit your kitchen and delivery route?
The exterior measures 913 mm wide, 746 mm deep and 1782 mm high. Electrolux separately lists cabinet dimensions of 908 mm wide, 625 mm deep and 1756 mm high; those smaller figures should not be mistaken for the appliance’s full exterior dimensions. With the doors open to 90 degrees, the stated depth is 1189 mm.

Electrolux’s dimension sheet also shows hinge-side allowances for door and bin access and notes that the doors sit proud of cabinetry. The drawing is a guide; use the current manual for installation details. Measure the route into the kitchen—including doorways, corridors and turns—as well as the cabinet opening.
Water, Wi-Fi and app requirements
The ice-and-water dispenser requires a plumbed water supply; Electrolux does not describe this model as tank-fed. Check that a suitable connection is available where the refrigerator will sit, and get a local quote if plumbing work is needed.

Electrolux says connected features require the Electrolux Life app and an account; internet access and Wi-Fi are needed for full functionality. The described app functions include monitoring or adjusting temperature, alerts and filter-change reminders. App features and service availability can change, so check current support in your region before relying on them.
How to interpret the capacity and energy figures
Electrolux calls the model 609L on its current product page. Its fact sheet breaks capacity into 371L for food, 165L for the freezer and 73L for the convertible compartment under AS/NZS 4474.1 2007 / IEC 62552-2015. The page also includes figures under an older method. Electrolux says the method for calculating capacity and energy ratings changed on 15 August 2021 while the product itself remained unchanged; a different label figure therefore does not by itself indicate a hardware change.

These are Electrolux’s published figures. Compare energy consumption and star ratings only with products labelled under the same standard; figures from different methods are not directly equivalent. Annual kWh is not a household cost estimate: the amount you pay depends on your electricity tariff and use.

What independent testing establishes
CHOICE lists the EHE6899BA as a French-door refrigerator tested in 2019. The detailed test, reliability and satisfaction results are member-only in the accessible listing, so that page does not support a specific score or a current performance verdict. Electrolux’s product page displays a rating of 4.5 from 1,558 reviews, accessed 7 October 2026; this is a dynamic manufacturer-site display, not controlled independent testing. Warranty and replacement parts
Electrolux’s fact sheet lists a two-year domestic warranty plus an additional three years covering the sealed refrigeration system only. That is not five years of comprehensive cover. Confirm the warranty terms applicable to your region and purchase date.
Electrolux’s shop lists several components as compatible with the EHE6899BA, including humidity-control housing 140052731019, flexible 1/3 door bin 140073380010 and bottle door bin 140073434015. Compatibility should be checked against the refrigerator’s product number (PNC) and the current parts listing before ordering. The available information does not establish the exact replacement water-filter cartridge for this model.
Who should consider it?
The EHE6899BA is worth considering if you want a French-door refrigerator with a separately configurable drawer and have room for its full dimensions, door swing and required clearances. It is a less straightforward fit if you cannot provide a plumbed water connection or if you want a verdict grounded in detailed, current independent test results. Before purchase, verify the installation requirements, app support, warranty and availability for your location.
