A VICE report dated August 13, 2026 says Kadokawa, FromSoftware’s parent company, reaffirmed a worldwide Switch 2 release in 2026 in its financial materials. VICE also reported that no exact date had been announced. This is reporting about company materials, not a dated launch announcement.

A separate claim naming September 24 should not be treated as the release date. Nintendo lists The Duskbloods as a digital Nintendo Switch 2 game developed and published by FromSoftware. Its store description casts players as “Bloodsworn of Dusk,” supernatural beings who battle online, form temporary alliances and rivalries, and compete for “First Blood.” Those are Nintendo’s descriptions, not independent hands-on findings.
