These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements. ACMER also advertises “up to 6mm deep engraving,” but the page does not document an independent 60W test protocol for that figure. Treat it as a claim to validate against your material and required result, not as a dependable production guarantee.
How the split layout, work area, and rotary option affect the decision
Large or irregular workpieces
A split head can be useful when a part will not fit conveniently under a fixed marking head. The listed 175 × 175 mm field is the standard working area; ACMER also presents 150 × 150 mm, 200 × 200 mm, and 300 × 300 mm options. Confirm which field is included in the 60W configuration you are ordering. A larger field may change the practical working distance or marking detail, so ask ACMER what the selected lens and field mean for your intended job.

Cylindrical parts
ACMER says rotary or chuck attachments can support cylindrical engraving, but the product information does not establish which specific accessory fits every SM 60W MOPA configuration. If you need to mark tumblers, pipes, or other round parts, verify the exact rotary model, connection, software workflow, and supported part dimensions before adding it to your order.
Software and setup
The page states that LightBurn and BslApp are supported on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and lists autofocus for all models. Those statements do not describe the setup steps, included licenses, feature differences, or whether every software function works identically across operating systems. Confirm the software package and workflow you need, especially if you plan to use a rotary attachment or a larger marking field.

What the performance claims do—and do not—show
ACMER lists a maximum marking speed of up to 10,000 mm/s and a maximum engraving depth claim of up to 6 mm. The product page does not supply a detailed test protocol for either claim, such as material, marking pattern, number of passes, settings, or acceptance criteria. A listed maximum is not a prediction of throughput for a particular job.
Do not use the page’s cutting demonstrations as evidence of what the 60W machine can cut: ACMER says those demonstrations use a 100W MOPA module, and that results vary by material and settings. The page also claims “2× better cooling than integrated models” without providing a measurement method. That is an attributed manufacturer comparison, not an established cooling advantage.

The product page does not provide an independent assessment of those glasses or establish that they are suitable for every installation and operating condition. Do not assume generic eyewear is sufficient. If you are evaluating replacement eyewear, its wavelength coverage and optical density must match the laser and your setup; verify the requirements for the exact configuration and operating environment before use.

- Included working field: Confirm whether the selected price includes the 175 × 175 mm field or another listed size.
