OZARK may be worth considering if you want a short, story-driven horror game to play alone or with someone else. ALTER-BOY estimates a 3–6-hour campaign, and the Steam listing supports solo and shared/split-screen play. But the game launched on October 1, 2026, and the Steam snapshot checked October 4 showed only six user reviews—not enough for a generated rating. There is not yet a sound basis for a confident quality verdict or performance claims.
What kind of game is OZARK?
OZARK is a 2.5D side-scrolling action-horror game from developer ALTER-BOY, with RLC also listed as publisher. It released on Steam on October 1, 2026. Its setup follows a crash landing in a remote mountain range in northern Canada: you enter a derelict facility while searching for a missing partner and investigating human experimentation.

The developer describes it as a complete, compact story intended for a sitting or two and estimates 3–6 hours to finish, depending on play style and difficulty. That is the developer’s estimate, not an independently measured completion time.

Solo and co-op
The Steam listing includes single-player and shared/split-screen co-op. ALTER-BOY says online co-op is possible through Steam Remote Play Together and that one player owning the game is sufficient. This is the developer’s description of using Steam’s feature; confirm that your devices, connection, and current Steam setup support the way you plan to play.

Is there enough review evidence to judge its quality?
Not yet. The Steam snapshot checked October 4, 2026 showed six user reviews and no generated rating because more reviews were needed. That early count is not a meaningful quality consensus. No hands-on testing or established independent review consensus is available here, so claims about how well it plays or performs should be treated as unverified.
