HLTV reported on October 1, 2026, citing multiple sources, that nin9 had emerged as the leading candidate for The MongolZ’s last vacant place. Why did The MongolZ have an open roster spot?
The MongolZ had three active players after Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren “DarkMeister” Ireedui were benched in mid-September, following two months with the team. On September 27, tikuak parted ways with The MongolZ and returned to Chinggis Warriors, according to the transfer record. Chinggis Warriors team overview
Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar’s return to the starting lineup had been expected for several weeks. He had already played for The MongolZ at FISSURE Playground 3, standing in for Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold. HLTV reported that nin9, Maks “laxiee” Andryei, and academy player Bayarbat “M4k” Tugs-Erdene were among those trialed for the remaining place. A reported trial or candidacy is not the same as a roster announcement.

What lineup did the report project?
If nin9’s addition were completed, HLTV’s projected five-player lineup was:
- bLitz
- 910
- Techno
- cobrazera
- nin9
The report listed maaRaa as coach and DarkMeister as benched. This was a conditional projection, not confirmation of the team’s current roster.

Who is nin9?
nin9 previously played for The MongolZ from May to August 2018. He later joined IHC, where he, Techno, bLitz, and coach maaRaa were part of the roster that became the first Mongolian team to qualify for a Counter-Strike Major in 2022.

What do nin9’s recent statistics show?
In the “Past 3 months” period displayed alongside its October 1, 2026 report, HLTV showed nin9 with a 1.07 Rating 3.0 across 69 maps, 0.67 kills per round (KPR), and 0.68 deaths per round (DPR). These are HLTV’s period-specific figures as shown at publication, not a live or independently recalculated stat line.

The report established that nin9 was the frontrunner according to HLTV’s sources and that he was among the reported trial candidates. It did not establish an official signing, a completed transfer, or tactical details sufficient to assess his role in the lineup. Treat him as a reported candidate unless a dated announcement from the team confirms the move.
