A free public demo of Moomin: Midsummer Madness later in October 2026 has not been confirmed by the official sources available as of October 3. Shochiku Games announced an in-person playable demo at Tokyo Game Show, which ran September 17–21, but that does not establish a downloadable demo for the public. The game is planned to launch November 12, 2026, on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
What is confirmed about the demo?
Shochiku Games’ August 28 announcement concerned a hands-on demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026, scheduled for September 17–21. It was an event-floor opportunity, not an announcement of a public demo download later in October. No official source cited here confirms an October public demo, so treat that claim as unverified unless Shochiku announces one.

When and where is the game planned to launch?
Shochiku and Steam list November 12, 2026 as the planned release date. The announced platforms are PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Shochiku also says a physical Nintendo Switch edition is planned for launch, but this does not confirm retail availability in every territory or a specific store listing.

What kind of game is Moomin: Midsummer Madness?
It is a single-player point-and-click adventure inspired by Tove Jansson’s 1954 novel Moominsummer Madness. Players control Moomintroll and Little My as they try to get home after a flood. The publisher describes puzzles, mini-games, conversations with characters, hand-drawn environments, and an in-game hint system, positioning the adventure for children and adults.
Steam identifies Crossbridge Game Studios as developer and Shochiku as publisher. Shochiku characterizes the game as a “relaxing and playful Nordic fantasy point-and-click adventure for all ages.”
