IKEA lists the pan as compatible with gas, induction, glass-ceramic and cast-iron hobs. Its product information does not establish how quickly or evenly it heats on any one hob type, so compatibility should not be read as a measured performance result.

What does IKEA say about the coating?
IKEA describes the non-stick surface as a sol-gel ceramic coating, which it explains as mostly silica. The manufacturer says that no PTFE or other PFAS have been allowed in this product’s coating. This is IKEA’s product claim; no independent chemical analysis is established here. The explanation applies to this product’s stated coating and should not be generalized to every pan sold as ceramic-coated.

- Wash the pan before first use.
- Wash it by hand after use; it is not listed as dishwasher-safe.
- Use smooth-edged wooden or plastic utensils. Avoid sharp-edged tools that could damage the coating.
- Do not heat the pan rapidly while empty. IKEA specifically cautions against doing so with an induction booster because the pan may warp and the coating’s non-stick properties may be affected.
The IKEA manual also instructs owners to hand-wash the pan and identifies its sol-gel coating.
What do customer reviews establish?

The surfaced comments were mixed: some customers praised non-stick performance, while others said the pan began sticking after use. What is—and is not—known about performance?
The product specifications make the pan’s materials, hob compatibility and care requirements clear. They do not establish how well it releases particular foods, how evenly it heats in practice, or how durable its coating is over time. No hands-on test, controlled comparison, independently verified heating measurement or dependable long-term coating-life evidence is available here. It would therefore be misleading to promise that food will slide free or to assign the coating a lifespan.
For a shopper, the practical fit is clearest if you want a 24 cm coated pan that is listed for several common hob types and are comfortable with hand-washing, non-sharp utensils and avoiding rapid empty heating. If measured cooking performance or proven long-term durability is essential, the available information does not answer those questions.
