How much does Clockify cost?
Clockify lists prices in US dollars per seat per month. Annual rates require paying for a year in advance. The prices below were checked on October 7, 2026; confirm them on Clockify’s pricing page before subscribing, because prices and plan packaging can change.

Free can work for a solo user or a small team that needs basic time entry and PDF summaries. It no longer means unlimited team members: a Free workspace allows up to five active users, including its owner. When a new workspace’s free trial ends, the owner and first four invitees remain active; additional users are deactivated, according to Clockify Help.

That distinction matters: being able to keep tracking time is not the same as being able to use the reporting, export, or billing workflow you need. A solo user who only needs core tracking, projects, and PDF summaries can remain on Free; a team relying on spreadsheets or billable rates cannot assume the free tier will cover those tasks.

Free: basic tracking and PDF summaries
Choose Free when your workspace has no more than five active users and the 31-day report window, PDF exports, and lack of billable rates are acceptable. It is not a fit if the workflow depends on CSV/Excel files, shared reports, or billable/non-billable tracking.

Basic is the first paid tier to consider if you need CSV or Excel exports, billable rates, or longer report periods. Compare its charge across all paid seats rather than treating the per-seat figure as the team’s total.

Standard is relevant when tracked time needs to feed invoicing, or when the team needs timesheet approvals, time-off management, attendance, or related administration.

Pro: budgets, costs, and scheduling
Pro is aimed at workflows that need project budgets, expense tracking, scheduling, alerts, or analysis of labor cost against billable revenue and profitability. Clockify also offers a seven-day trial of Pro features without a credit card; use it to check whether the features work for your process, not as a substitute for confirming the ongoing plan and price. Enterprise: organization-level controls
Consider Enterprise when controls such as SSO and an audit log are required. If those controls are not part of your organization’s requirements, its higher per-seat price may not deliver a useful benefit for your team.

How to calculate the real team price
Multiply the relevant per-seat rate by the number of active and invited users on a paid plan. Clockify says both active and invited users occupy paid seats. Deactivating a user frees a seat; a seat added mid-cycle is prorated. Add applicable tax to the estimate, and remember that an annual subscription is prepaid for the year.
- Count the active and invited users who will need paid features.
- Choose the lowest tier that covers the workflow, not simply the lowest displayed rate.
- Multiply that tier’s monthly per-seat rate by the seat count for a monthly-billing estimate, or its annual per-seat rate by seats and 12 for the annual commitment.
- Account for applicable taxes at checkout and for any seat changes during the subscription.
For example, five paid seats on Basic would be $19.95 per month at the listed annual rate, billed as $239.40 for the year before tax, or $24.95 per month with monthly billing. This is a calculation from the rates above, not a quoted checkout total.

Annual billing, cancellation, and the value trade-off
Annual billing lowers the listed monthly equivalent but commits you to a year paid in advance. Clockify’s Pro page describes the annual rate as a 20% discount compared with monthly billing and says the company offers no further discounts; that is Clockify’s own statement, not an independent assessment. Clockify says it does not offer refunds except when a system error caused a mistaken charge. You can cancel, retain your data, and revert to Free after the paid subscription expires, but access to paid features ends after downgrade. If you are uncertain about a tier, the seven-day Pro trial can help check feature fit before taking on an annual commitment.
So, is Clockify fairly priced?
Clockify’s pricing is most compelling when Free genuinely covers the job, or when a paid tier replaces a specific manual step—such as spreadsheet exports, approvals, invoicing, or project-cost analysis—that your team actually uses. The value calculation turns less favorable when the free limits interrupt your reporting workflow or when you pay for seats and features you do not need. Price the active and invited seats, choose by required workflow, and compare the full annual commitment with monthly billing before deciding.
