In iOS 26, the screenshot preview may open full screen rather than as the familiar thumbnail, so check the screenshot screen for the control. Apple documents full-page captures for content longer than the display, including entire webpages in Safari.
Find Full Page in the screenshot preview
- Open the webpage in Safari and navigate to the page you want to capture.
- Take a screenshot. On an iPhone with Face ID, quickly press and release the Side button and Volume Up button together. On an iPhone with a Home button, quickly press and release the Side button and Home button together.
- Open the screenshot preview. If it appears as a thumbnail, tap it. If the screenshot opens full screen, use that screen to inspect the capture and look for Full Page.
- Tap Full Page. Apple says you can drag on the preview image to see more of the longer capture.
- Choose Save to Photos for an image, or Save PDF to Files for a PDF.
Apple describes this workflow for content extending beyond the iPhone screen, with an entire webpage in Safari as its example. Apple’s iPhone screenshot guide documents both image and PDF save options.

If the screenshot opens full screen instead of as a thumbnail
In iOS 26, screenshots appear full screen by default. That is a change in how the preview is presented, not evidence that Full Page has been turned off. Check the screenshot preview itself for the control rather than waiting only for the small thumbnail in the lower-left corner.
If you prefer the thumbnail presentation, go to Settings > General > Screen Capture and turn off Full-Screen Previews. This changes the preview style; Apple does not describe it as a switch that enables or disables Full Page. See Apple’s screen capture settings guide.

What to check if Full Page is still missing
- Confirm you are testing a Safari webpage. Apple’s documented example is an entire webpage in Safari. Start with a page that extends beyond one screen.
- Make sure you opened the screenshot preview. The option is part of the screenshot workflow after taking a normal screenshot, not a control you choose before capturing.
- Check the full-screen preview as well as a thumbnail. The preview style can differ, but Apple’s iOS 26 guide continues to document Full Page.
- Compare with another long webpage in Safari. If the option is missing there too, note your iPhone model and iOS version, along with whether the issue occurs on more than one page.
Apple’s public instructions do not list every supported app, page, model, or iOS build, and they do not identify a universal cause or reset for every case where Full Page is absent. If it remains missing on long Safari webpages, use those details when contacting Apple Support for case-specific diagnosis rather than assuming a particular setting or hardware fault.
