Apple announced the iPhone 17 at a starting price of ₹82,900 in India in 2025. The vivo India Store lists the X200 FE 12GB+256GB configuration at ₹59,999; that listed price was observed in 2026 and may change. Subtracting the two gives ₹22,901. The figures do not represent matched storage configurations or necessarily prices available on the same date, so check current prices and the exact model before buying.

Display: nearly the same size and refresh-rate ceiling
On paper, both screens are about 6.3 inches and support refresh rates up to 120Hz. The iPhone 17 is listed with a 6.3-inch OLED panel at 2622×1206; the X200 FE has a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED panel at 2640×1216. These specifications make the phones close in size and maximum refresh rate, but they do not establish which screen looks better. Brightness and color claims should be compared using the same measurement method.
Performance: different chips, no measured winner
The iPhone 17 uses Apple’s A19 platform, while the X200 FE uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+. The listed CPU and GPU core counts are not a controlled performance comparison. The available specifications do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads; a benchmark result or hands-on comparison would be needed to make that call.

Cameras: dedicated 3x telephoto versus Apple’s dual-camera setup
The clearest hardware distinction is the X200 FE’s dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Its other rear cameras are a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide. The iPhone 17 has 48MP main and ultrawide cameras, with 2x optical-quality telephoto framing provided through the main camera rather than a separate telephoto module.

Battery and charging: verify the X200 FE’s local version
vivo’s India Store lists a typical 6500mAh battery and 90W FlashCharge for the X200 FE. Battery capacity varies by market: vivo’s Europe page lists 6500mAh for Spain, Poland and Italy, but 5300mAh for Austria and Germany Amazon. Do not assume a specification for one region applies to another; check the India listing for the exact handset.
Apple’s cited technical page and launch announcement do not provide an iPhone 17 mAh capacity figure, so a capacity comparison cannot be made from these sources. vivo’s India launch page reports 25.44 hours of YouTube playback and 9.55 hours of gaming, but these are vivo-reported figures subject to its stated usage and test-condition caveats, not independent results or a direct comparison with the iPhone 17: vivo X200 FE launch and feature information. The specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in comparable real-world use.

Software, resistance ratings and box contents
Software
Apple identifies iOS 26 in the iPhone 17 launch announcement; vivo’s official specification page lists Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 for the X200 FE. Choose based on the operating system and ecosystem you prefer. The cited sources do not establish a comparable software-support duration for the two phones.
Water and dust resistance
Apple specifies IP68 for the iPhone 17 and describes a rating of up to 6m for up to 30 minutes under IEC 60529. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for the X200 FE. These are not identical test descriptions, and neither rating means a phone is protected in every water-related situation.

What is listed in the box
The vivo India Store lists a charger, cable, phone case and applied protective film among the X200 FE’s in-box items. The Apple sources cited here do not establish iPhone 17 package contents, so they are not enough for a box-for-box comparison. Check current regional retail packaging.
Which one fits your priorities?
- Consider the iPhone 17 if you want iOS and Apple’s ecosystem, or prefer its A19 platform and main-plus-ultrawide camera arrangement. Its cited India launch starting price is higher than vivo’s cited listing.
- Consider the vivo X200 FE if a dedicated 3x periscope telephoto camera and 90W charging are priorities, and the locally sold configuration and price suit you.
- Compare before choosing if your decision depends on camera results, gaming speed or battery life. The cited manufacturer specifications do not provide independent, directly comparable tests for those outcomes.
Before paying, compare prices on the same date and as close as possible to the same storage tier, then confirm the exact regional model, battery specification and package contents. Your preferred operating system and need for a dedicated telephoto lens may matter more than the headline price gap.
