At their announced India starting prices, the iPhone 17 costs ₹2,901 more than the OPPO Find X9s 12GB+256GB. The Find X9s has the larger display, a stated 7,025mAh typical battery and three 50MP rear cameras; the iPhone 17 is smaller and lighter, and its main camera offers optical-quality 2× telephoto. These are manufacturer specifications, not proof of which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.
India launch prices: how much more does the iPhone 17 cost?
Apple announced the iPhone 17 at ₹82,900 for 256GB in India. OPPO announced these Find X9s India launch prices:

The iPhone 17’s announced starting price is ₹2,901 above the Find X9s 12GB+256GB launch price. This compares starting prices, not identical configurations: OPPO’s listed models include 12GB RAM, and the cited Apple announcement does not give the iPhone 17’s 512GB price. These are launch figures, not current seller prices or a guarantee of stock or discounts. Apple announced pre-orders from 12 September 2025 and availability from 19 September 2025; OPPO said Find X9s sales would begin 26 May 2026 through its e-store, Flipkart, Amazon and mainline retail outlets. The figures below come from manufacturer materials. Apple’s detailed specifications are from its Australia product page, while the price and launch details are from Apple India; OPPO’s specifications are for its India model CPH2873.

Which display and size suit you?
The Find X9s has a 6.59-inch display, compared with 6.3 inches on the iPhone 17; both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120Hz. The cited specifications give resolution and pixel density, but do not provide a comparable brightness figure, so they do not establish which screen is brighter outdoors.

The iPhone 17 is shorter, narrower and lighter on the listed dimensions: 149.6 mm and 177 g versus about 157.0 mm and 202 g for the Find X9s. Choose based on whether you prefer a more compact phone or the larger screen, rather than treating size alone as a measure of display quality.
What do the camera specifications tell you—and what don’t they?
OPPO lists three 50MP rear cameras, including a dedicated telephoto camera with two-axis optical image stabilization. Apple lists a 48MP main camera with optical-quality 2× telephoto and a 48MP ultra-wide. The descriptions indicate different camera arrangements: megapixel counts alone do not establish detail, color, low-light performance, stabilization quality or which phone produces better photos.

For rear video, Apple lists 4K Dolby Vision recording up to 60 fps; OPPO lists rear-camera video up to 4K at 60 fps. Those format descriptions are not a controlled comparison of video quality, and the cited specifications do not establish a camera winner.
Battery and performance: what can be compared fairly?
OPPO publishes both a typical battery capacity of 7,025mAh and a rated capacity of 6,840mAh, plus charging up to 80W SUPERVOOC. Apple describes the iPhone 17’s battery life as all-day and says it supports faster charging, but the cited Apple materials do not give a comparable capacity or charging wattage. Different kinds of claims cannot establish which phone lasts longer between charges; usage, settings and network conditions also affect endurance.

The listed chips are Apple A19 and MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. The official materials cited here do not provide controlled benchmarks, so these names alone do not show which phone is faster for a particular app, game or workload.

- Consider the iPhone 17 if you want the smaller, lighter phone, prefer iOS, or value Apple’s stated 2× optical-quality reach from its main camera.
- Consider the Find X9s if you want a larger display, a dedicated telephoto camera, or published battery capacity and maximum charging-rate figures; its announced 256GB starting price is lower.
- Check the exact variant and live seller price before deciding. OPPO’s 512GB launch model is ₹89,999, while the cited Apple India announcement does not state the 512GB iPhone 17 price.
These are preference-based distinctions, not a tested overall winner. For buyers outside India, verify the regional model, network-band compatibility and local warranty and support: the prices above are India launch prices, and Apple’s detailed specifications cited here are regional Australia figures.
