India launch price difference
Apple announced the iPhone 15 in India at a starting price of ₹79,900 for 128GB. OPPO announced the Reno15 Pro Mini at ₹59,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹64,999 for 12GB/512GB. The OPPO 12GB/256GB launch price is ₹19,901 below Apple’s starting price, but the capacities differ. Neither figure establishes today’s street price.

Which is better, iPhone 15 or OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini?
There is no overall winner established by these specification sheets. The Reno15 Pro Mini is the more spec-forward choice if you want a higher-refresh-rate screen, dedicated telephoto and ultrawide rear cameras, high listed charging wattage or more storage at its announced base configuration. The iPhone 15 may suit someone who prefers iOS, Apple’s ecosystem, or the particular camera and video features listed for the model. Your existing devices, apps and services may matter more than a single specification.

The chip names do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or demanding apps. OPPO lists more rear camera hardware: a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide. Apple lists a dual-camera system with a 48MP main camera and a 2x optical-quality zoom option. OPPO also lists a 50MP front camera. Higher megapixel counts and an extra lens do not by themselves prove better photos; image processing, lens performance, stabilisation and results in different lighting all matter.

For video, Apple’s technical specifications list 4K recording up to 60fps and Dolby Vision HDR up to 4K/60fps. OPPO lists 4K up to 60fps on the rear and front cameras, as well as HDR recording. These format and resolution figures do not tell you which phone produces more pleasing footage or handles stabilisation and lens changes better; that requires model-specific testing.
Is the Reno15 Pro Mini smaller than the iPhone 15?
Despite “Mini” in its name, the OPPO’s listed display is 6.32 inches, compared with 6.1 inches on the iPhone 15. The OPPO is therefore not the smaller-screen option in this pair. Its specifications list dimensions of 151.2 × 72.4mm, thickness of about 8.0–8.1mm and weight of 187–188g, varying by colour. Those figures do not establish which handset feels smaller or easier to hold; a direct comparison of the iPhone’s current dimensions and both phones in person is more useful if pocketability is your priority.

OPPO lists a 6,200mAh typical battery capacity (6,035mAh rated) and up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Apple’s cited specifications do not provide a directly comparable iPhone 15 battery-capacity figure, so these numbers cannot support a battery-life winner. Capacity is not runtime: screen settings, network conditions, apps and usage affect how long a phone lasts. Charging-wattage figures also do not show how quickly each phone charges in real conditions.
The manufacturers list different ingress-protection ratings and materials. Apple describes Ceramic Shield and IP68 resistance; OPPO lists IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings and Gorilla Glass 7i. These ratings refer to specified test conditions, not a guarantee against damage in everyday use. Read the maker’s full terms rather than treating a rating as proof that a phone is waterproof or unbreakable.

- Compare the exact storage configurations and current prices; the ₹19,901 figure compares announced launch starting prices, not identical capacities or current offers.
- Confirm the model is the India-market version, and check warranty, return terms, stock and seller details on the listing.
- Choose based on the operating system and ecosystem you want: iOS on the iPhone 15 or ColorOS 16 on the OPPO.
- Check the box contents before budgeting for accessories. OPPO’s stated India box contents include a charger and protective case, subject to market variation.
