The iPhone 15 and Samsung Galaxy S24 5G differ most in software ecosystem, display, and camera hardware: the iPhone runs iOS and has a 6.1-inch display, while Samsung’s India-listed S24 has a 6.2-inch display with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate and a dedicated 3x optical-zoom camera. There is no verified current, like-for-like price comparison here. Apple’s $799 iPhone 15 starting price was its US launch price in 2023, not a current quote.

Which phone fits your software and ecosystem?
Choose iPhone 15 if you prefer iOS
The iPhone 15 is the more natural fit if you already use Apple devices and want to stay in the iOS ecosystem. Apple’s launch announcement identifies the A16 Bionic chip and Dynamic Island among the model’s features. People switching from Android should weigh familiarity with iOS and their existing apps and services against the hardware differences.

Choose Galaxy S24 if you prefer Android
The Galaxy S24 is the Android option. Samsung’s cited India listing identifies a deca-core processor but does not name its model, so this specification alone cannot establish how its performance compares with the A16 Bionic. Check the exact processor and regional SKU for the market where you plan to buy.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
Display: the S24 listing specifies a faster refresh rate
Samsung lists its India-market Galaxy S24 with a 6.2-inch full-rectangle display, FHD+ resolution of 2340 × 1080, and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Samsung notes that the screen measures 15.23cm within rounded corners, compared with 15.64cm (6.2 inches) as a full rectangle. The refresh-rate figure is Samsung’s specification, not a statement that every app or situation runs at 120Hz.
Apple identifies the iPhone 15 display as a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED, but the cited announcement does not state a refresh-rate figure. The S24 is therefore the clearer choice on paper if a listed 120Hz maximum matters to you; display size and resolution alone do not determine which screen you will prefer.
Rank #2
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
Cameras: compare the zoom hardware, not just megapixels
The iPhone 15 has a 48MP main camera and a 2x Telephoto option, while the cited Galaxy S24 listing names three rear cameras—50MP, 10MP and 12MP—and specifies 3x optical zoom. Samsung also lists a 2x “optical quality” mode and up to 30x digital zoom; those are distinct from its 3x optical-zoom specification.
These descriptions explain the camera layouts, not which phone takes better photos or video. A megapixel count does not establish image quality, and there is no matched independent camera test here to declare a winner. Apple’s launch announcement quotes its product-marketing vice president describing computational photography and the 2x option; that is a manufacturer statement, not independent test evidence.

- Width: 2.78 inches; Length: 5.79 inches; Height: 0.30 inches
Storage and regional versions affect the comparison
Apple listed iPhone 15 capacities of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB at launch. The cited Samsung India page identifies variant SM-S921BZVQINS but does not state its storage capacity in the specifications provided here. Confirm the storage tier on the actual S24 listing before comparing prices, since different capacities are not equivalent offers.
The Samsung specifications in this comparison apply to the India-market listing, not automatically to every Galaxy S24 sold worldwide. Processor configuration, radio bands, price, and box contents may vary by market. Before buying either phone for use in another country, verify the precise model and its 5G-band compatibility with your carrier; a product name alone does not confirm network compatibility.

Battery and charging: the published figures are not a head-to-head test
Samsung lists a 4000mAh typical battery for the cited S24 variant and estimates up to 29 hours of wireless video playback. Both are manufacturer figures, and the playback estimate is not an independent battery test. It cannot be compared directly with an iPhone figure without a common test method and conditions, so these specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use.
Both phones use USB-C. Samsung’s cited India page says a travel adapter is not included and cautions that box contents can vary by country or region. Check the packaging details for the precise product you intend to buy rather than assuming accessories are identical across markets.
Best Value
- 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh and a peak brightness of ~2,600 nits — giving a noticeably sharper, brighter screen than the base S24.
Price difference: compare local offers, not a historical launch price
Apple announced a US starting price of $799 for the iPhone 15 on September 12, 2023; the phone became available starting September 22, 2023. That is historical US launch pricing, not a current price. The cited Samsung India page does not establish a Galaxy S24 price, and no matched current prices are available here. Converting the old US MSRP into another currency would not produce a local price comparison.
To work out the price difference for your purchase, compare offers in the same country and on the same day. Match storage capacity, condition (new or refurbished), and seller, and check that the listings are for the exact regional models you want. If the storage tiers or product conditions differ, the headline price gap may not be an apples-to-apples comparison.
Quick Recap
How to decide
- Pick the iPhone 15 if iOS and continuity with your Apple devices are priorities.
- Pick the Galaxy S24 if Android, Samsung’s specified 120Hz maximum refresh rate, or its listed 3x optical zoom is more useful to you.
- Check storage, regional model, carrier 5G-band support, and included accessories on the actual listing before ordering.
- Use current local offers for a price decision; the iPhone’s $799 figure is its 2023 US launch price, not a current quote.
