Its combination of an H13 HEPA filter and 2.4 kg activated-carbon stage is notable, but those figures are manufacturer claims—not proof of a particular whole-room result. Availability is also a concern: INOVA says the E8 was replaced by the Core Plus from September 2026 and lists the E8 as out of stock. Check current stock and warranty terms before treating it as a purchase option.
What the INOVA-E8 is—and its current status
The INOVA-E8 is a freestanding purifier with a manufacturer-recommended coverage area of 25 m². INOVA lists maximum air delivery of 300 m³/hour, four selectable speeds, and a five-year parts-and-labour warranty, excluding consumable filter life. As of the manufacturer’s product listing accessed in 2026, the E8 is marked out of stock and described as replaced by the INOVA Core Plus from September 2026. The listing showed A$875, but that price is not confirmation of a current purchasable offer. Verify availability, warranty coverage, and whether the successor suits your needs before deciding. How its three-stage filtration works
According to the user manual, air enters through the sides and passes through three stages before returning to the room:

INOVA lists a 3.8 m² filter surface and claims 99.95% efficiency at 0.3 microns; it also says the filter was tested by LMS Technologies Inc under EN1822. The detailed report and method are not available here, so treat these as manufacturer-reported filter claims rather than whole-room performance figures. - Activated-carbon filter: the 2.4 kg carbon stage is intended to adsorb chemicals and odours. Carbon quantity alone does not establish a removal rate or guarantee a result for a particular pollutant. INOVA-E8 product listing
Room coverage and performance claims
INOVA recommends the E8 for 25 m² and lists airflow up to 300 m³/hour. The available specifications do not provide an independently established room-clearance result or a directly comparable test basis. Airflow and a recommended area are useful for comparison, but they do not by themselves show how quickly the unit will reduce a pollutant in a specific room.
A search surfaced a CHOICE review listing, but no test results or detailed findings were accessible. There is therefore no independent comparative performance result to report here.

Noise, power and placement
INOVA lists power use of 10–58 W and noise of 35–60 dBA across the E8’s four speeds. These are manufacturer-listed ranges; the figures do not identify a particular reading for every speed. INOVA’s manual recommends choosing the fastest setting that remains comfortable, since higher speeds move more air but are louder. It suggests speed 1 as generally suitable for sleeping. Filter upkeep and servicing
INOVA gives these recommended replacement intervals: 3–6 months for the wrap-around pre-filter, 3–5 years for the HEPA filter, and up to three years for the carbon filter. The manual says local dust and chemical concentrations, odour loads, and proximity to pollution sources can shorten filter life. Filter life is excluded from the stated warranty. - Check the pre-filter about every three months and replace it when dust buildup is around 2 mm, as the manual advises. INOVA notes it may turn grey within the first one to two weeks.
- Disconnect power before cleaning or changing filters.
- Do not vacuum the pre-filter or HEPA filter; the manual warns that vacuuming can damage fine filter fibres.
- Where practical, remove the pre-filter outdoors, or enclose it in a bag during removal to limit dust release.

What to compare before choosing an alternative
If weighing the E8 against another purifier or the Core Plus, focus on the details that affect real use rather than relying on a single headline specification:

- Coverage and airflow: compare the recommended room area and the method behind any CADR or airflow rating; the E8’s published figures do not include an accessible independent room test.
- Particles versus gases and odours: check the HEPA details and the quantity or type of carbon media. Neither specification alone guarantees a health outcome or specific pollutant reduction.
- Noise and energy at your likely setting: compare levels at the speed you expect to use, not just maximum ratings.
- Ownership costs: check filter prices, realistic replacement timing, warranty exclusions, and current stock for both the purifier and compatible consumables.
INOVA describes the E8 as Australian-made, with a powder-coated 1 mm 5052-grade aluminium body and an AC centrifugal fan intended for continuous 24-hour operation. It also describes the system as ozone-free. These remain manufacturer statements, rather than independently confirmed findings. The listed dimensions are 32 × 32 × 52 cm and weight is 12 kg.
