The Infinix GT 30 Pro is the newer gaming-focused option, with a newer listed chipset, higher-resolution display, larger battery and built-in gaming triggers. The GT 20 Pro has a dedicated Pixelworks display chip and lists optical image stabilization on its main camera. For buyers in India, the GT 30 Pro’s current listed MRP is ₹31,999, but a like-for-like current price difference cannot be established without a contemporaneous GT 20 Pro price for the same configuration and seller conditions.
How the GT 20 Pro and GT 30 Pro compare
The figures below describe the models and configurations shown on Infinix’s India product pages, except where the GT 20 Pro global page is explicitly cited. Model and market differences matter: the India pages identify the GT 20 Pro as X6871 and the GT 30 Pro as X6873. Confirm the exact regional variant before buying.

Which is the better choice for gaming?
Choose the GT 30 Pro for the newer hardware and gaming controls
Its Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, 1.5K panel, larger listed battery and gaming triggers make the GT 30 Pro the more feature-rich step up on paper. Those specifications do not establish how much faster it runs a particular game, how long it sustains a frame rate, or whether it stays cooler under prolonged play. No controlled side-by-side performance, thermal or battery-endurance results are established here.
Consider the GT 20 Pro if its specific features suit you
The GT 20 Pro’s Pixelworks X5 Turbo chip is a distinct gaming-display feature, and Infinix describes frame interpolation for some games. Its main rear camera also explicitly lists OIS. Those details may matter more to a buyer than the GT 30 Pro’s newer chipset or higher listed resolution, but they do not by themselves prove better gaming results or better photos.

Do not read 144Hz as a game’s frame rate
Both phones list 144Hz displays. A panel’s refresh rate is not a promise that any particular title will render at that rate: game support, settings, software and operating conditions affect the result. Infinix’s up-to-120-FPS interpolation statement for the GT 20 Pro applies to some games and is a manufacturer claim, not a universal outcome.
What the camera specifications do—and do not—tell you
The GT 20 Pro lists OIS on its 108MP main camera, while the GT 30 Pro lists an 8MP ultrawide camera in addition to its 108MP main camera. Their front-camera resolutions also differ. These are configuration differences, not a reliable image-quality ranking: megapixel counts and the presence of an ultrawide lens cannot substitute for comparable photo and video samples. A direct camera test of both phones is not established here.

What is the price difference in India?
Infinix India’s GT 30 Pro product page displayed an MRP of ₹31,999 inclusive of taxes when accessed on October 7, 2026. That is a listed MRP, not necessarily the price a retailer currently charges. Android Central reported 2025 launch prices of ₹24,999 for the 8GB/256GB version and ₹26,999 for the 12GB/256GB version; those are historical launch figures, not current offers. To make a useful comparison, check both phones in India at the same time, with the same RAM and storage tier, seller type, condition and warranty. A launch price for one model compared with a current MRP or discounted offer for the other would not be an apples-to-apples comparison.

What to check before buying either phone
- Variant and network fit: Confirm the model number, supported bands for your carrier, and regional configuration. The India listings identify different model numbers; specifications and availability can vary by market.
- Memory tier: Compare 8GB/256GB with 8GB/256GB, or 12GB/256GB with 12GB/256GB, rather than mixing configurations when judging value.
- Warranty and seller: Verify that the seller, local warranty and return terms apply to the exact model you are considering.
- Game-specific evidence: Look for tests of the games you play, including sustained performance and heat, rather than assuming that a chipset name or 144Hz panel predicts your experience.
- Charging needs: Distinguish wired charging from wireless charging; the GT 30 Pro’s listed wireless figure is not its stated wired speed.
Gaming kit and accessories
Android Central describes a GT 30 Pro Gaming Kit that includes a MagCharge Cooler, a fan attached using a magnetic case. That establishes a described kit, not current stock or compatibility with every GT 30 Pro variant. Check the exact phone model and kit contents before buying an accessory. An optional Bluetooth controller is useful only if the games you play support controllers.
Android Central’s GT 30 Pro review discusses the kit. In a separate interview, Infinix product director Weiqi Nie described GT Verse as “a full-stack experience designed around the needs of mobile gamers.” This is the company’s positioning, not independent evidence of performance.
