पहले जाँचें: आवाज़ कहाँ गायब है?
- अलग device पर public stream सुनें। यदि संभव हो, दूसरे operator या भरोसेमंद viewer से फोन या किसी अन्य device पर livestream जाँचने को कहें। YouTube भी stream को mobile पर जाँचने और audio/video की लगातार निगरानी की सलाह देता है: YouTube streaming tips। बच्चों की privacy का ध्यान रखें; निजी जानकारी साझा न करें और audio ठीक करने के लिए audience-setting न बदलें।
- OBS में source का meter देखें। Audio Mixer में संबंधित source का meter तभी देखें जब उस source से आवाज़ चल रही हो—जैसे media playback या microphone test। Source mute तो नहीं है, यह भी जाँचें। Meter का खाली रहना, जबकि उस समय audio आना चाहिए, उपयोगी संकेत है; playback के बीच के शांत हिस्से में meter का न हिलना अपने-आप में खराबी नहीं है। OBS meter signal level दिखाता है और mixer में mute तथा monitoring controls होते हैं: OBS Audio Mixer Guide।
इन दो जाँचों के नतीजे अलग-अलग समस्या दिखाते हैं। अगर meter नहीं हिलता, तो signal OBS तक पहुँचने से पहले या OBS source/processing में रुक सकता है। Meter चलता है लेकिन अलग device पर आवाज़ नहीं है, तो source selection, mute, routing, track या outgoing stream की जाँच करें। अगर public stream ठीक है लेकिन आपको headphones में आवाज़ नहीं सुनाई दे रही, तो समस्या monitoring में हो सकती है।

अगर Audio Mixer का meter नहीं हिलता
Signal path को upstream से जाँचें: audio बनाने वाला device या source, उसके controls, operating-system audio settings और अंत में OBS source व उसके filters। OBS के अनुसार, input indicator न दिखने का अर्थ है कि उस बिंदु तक audio OBS की ओर नहीं आ रहा; कारण यह हो सकता है कि उस समय input audio उपलब्ध न हो या interface disconnect हो गया हो। यह अकेले किसी खास hardware failure की पुष्टि नहीं करता: OBS Audio Mixer Technical Details।

- Physical device और signal जाँचें। Microphone या audio interface इस्तेमाल हो रहा हो, तो देखें कि वह powered और connected है। उसके hardware mute और gain controls भी देखें। जिस source से आवाज़ आनी चाहिए, उसे वास्तव में audio देने दें।
- Operating system में चुना हुआ input देखें। OS की sound/recording settings में सही microphone या interface चुना है या नहीं, और उसका input level बंद या mute तो नहीं है, यह जाँचें। साथ ही देखें कि संबंधित application को audio device तक पहुँच मिल रही है या नहीं। OS अलग-अलग होने से menu labels अलग हो सकते हैं।
- OBS source और filters जाँचें। Audio Mixer में सही source पहचाने और देखें कि वही mute तो नहीं है। उस source पर लगे filters को अस्थायी रूप से bypass करके signal जाँच सकते हैं; diagnosis के बाद intended processing वापस लागू करें। Filters input-level indication को प्रभावित कर सकते हैं, इसलिए खाली meter को तुरंत hardware दोष न मानें: OBS technical details।
- जुड़ाव अस्थिर या interface संदिग्ध हो तो बदलाव नोट करें। हाल में बदला device, cable या system setting दर्ज करें और देखें कि समस्या दोबारा होती है या नहीं। नया USB audio interface तभी विचारें जब जाँच से interface की खराबी या अस्थिरता का संकेत मिले; खरीदते समय अपने microphone के input, computer compatibility, driver/support और return या warranty शर्तें मिलाएँ।
अगर meter चलता है, लेकिन सुनाई नहीं देता
Local monitoring नहीं सुनाई दे रही
OBS में Edit → Advanced Audio Properties खोलकर संबंधित source की monitoring setting और चुना हुआ monitoring device जाँचें। इससे पता चलता है कि OBS से local listening कैसे route हो रही है; यह public stream में audio पहुँचने का प्रमाण नहीं है। OBS mixer guide monitoring controls और signal chain में अलग-अलग बिंदुओं पर सुनकर जाँचने की सलाह देता है: OBS Audio Mixer Guide।

Recording में आवाज़ है, public stream में नहीं
देखें कि सही source शामिल है, mute नहीं है और उस destination के लिए सही audio routing या track configuration चुनी गई है। Recording और stream का रास्ता एक जैसा मानकर न चलें: test recording में आवाज़ होना viewer-facing stream की पुष्टि नहीं करता। अलग device पर live output जाँचें।
आवाज़ बहुत धीमी, कटी हुई या विकृत है
Source से शुरू करके operating-system controls और फिर OBS तक levels जाँचें। हर gain control को एक साथ बढ़ाने से clipping या noise हो सकती है। OBS technical guide के अनुसार digital output को 0 dBFS से नीचे रहना चाहिए; इस सीमा पर या उससे ऊपर signal clipping distortion पैदा कर सकता है: OBS Audio Mixer Technical Details। Meter चलते समय सुनकर भी पुष्टि करें कि आवाज़ साफ़ है।

ठीक होने की पुष्टि करें, फिर stream पर नज़र रखें
- Incident से जुड़े source और scene के साथ छोटा, सामान्य test session record करें।
- Recording फ़ाइल सुनें; सिर्फ़ OBS meter देखकर audio की पुष्टि न करें। OBS Project go-live से पहले सामान्य session record करके उसे सुनने की सलाह देता है: OBS Audio Mixer Guide।
- अलग device पर public stream भी सुनें। यदि समस्या किसी scene या source बदलने के बाद आई थी, तो उस बदलाव को दोहराकर फिर जाँचें। YouTube लगातार audio/video monitor करने की सलाह देता है: YouTube streaming tips।
- 24/7 stream के लिए recovery के बाद operator alert या नियमित monitoring check रखें; एक सफल test यह साबित नहीं करता कि समस्या दोबारा नहीं होगी।
समस्या बनी रहे तो क्या जानकारी संभालें
- कौन-से Audio Mixer meters चलते हैं और कौन-से नहीं—यह उस समय नोट करें जब source से आवाज़ आनी चाहिए।
- क्या local monitoring और test recording में आवाज़ है, और क्या अलग device पर livestream सुनाई देती है, यह दर्ज करें।
- Source और audio device के नाम, हाल के device या system बदलाव, और OBS log/configuration सुरक्षित रखें ताकि support को समस्या समझाई जा सके।
- कारण पहचाने बिना OBS restart, reinstall या hardware खरीदने को निश्चित समाधान न मानें। अलग-अलग failure points के लिए कोई एक सार्वभौमिक fix स्थापित नहीं है।
YouTube पर बच्चों की livestream: audio fix से अलग नीतियाँ
अगर platform YouTube है, तो बच्चों के लिए बने content को सही audience setting देना creator की अलग ज़िम्मेदारी है। YouTube के अनुसार made-for-kids streams में live chat और live-chat donations उपलब्ध नहीं होते या सीमित होते हैं, और personalized advertising भी सीमित रहती है: YouTube: Set your channel or video’s audience। YouTube यह भी कहता है कि 16 वर्ष से कम उम्र के minors वाली livestream में यदि कोई adult स्पष्ट रूप से साथ मौजूद न हो, तो stream हटाई जा सकती है या chat बंद की जा सकती है: YouTube live-streaming restrictions। ये platform और audience नियम हैं—OBS में audio signal रुकने की वजह नहीं।
