It may suit creators who want its ARRI-branded video tools, but there is no verified universal “lowest price” for importing it: the delivered cost and whether it will work depend on your country, seller, handset variant, and carrier.
What the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max is—and what “ARRI camera” means
HONOR announced the Magic9 Pro Max in China on 28 September 2026. HONOR describes it as a handheld cinema system, while ARRI says selected elements of its Image Science are integrated across capture, color management, real-time preview, and finishing. The phone and its packaging carry ARRI branding. That describes a collaboration; it does not establish that the handset performs like a standalone ARRI cinema camera.

HONOR lists LogC3, 10-bit color, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, ARRI CINEMA Mode, and preset Looks. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not independently verified image-quality results. ARRI’s announcement also names APV 10-bit 4:2:2 recording.

In its 28 September 2026 global announcement, HONOR describes these rear cameras and stabilization features:

HONOR says ARRI CINEMA Mode records up to 4K at 60fps, and that the phone includes 14 preset ARRI Looks. It says the ARRI Look Library contains 87 predefined creative color gradings. Those figures describe stated specifications and library contents; they are not independent measures of video quality or a guarantee that every look is available in every recording mode.
Does the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max have eSIM?
HONOR’s China-market specifications page lists eSIM as a network feature. That listing alone does not confirm that a particular imported unit can activate service with a foreign carrier. It also does not establish destination-band compatibility or local network certification.

- Dual SIM (SIM + eSIM)
Before paying, ask the seller for the exact model or variant identifier and confirm eSIM activation, supported bands, and acceptance directly with your intended carrier. A generic claim that the phone “has eSIM” is not enough to establish that it will work on your plan.

Can you use the China version outside China?
ARRI says China is the initial market, with other markets to follow. The available information does not establish the specifications or support terms of a global Magic9 Pro Max variant, or prove that the China version will work on every overseas network. Treat an import as a China-market device unless the seller supplies verifiable details for the exact unit.

Check these points for your destination before ordering:
- Supported cellular bands and your carrier’s device-acceptance rules.
- Whether the carrier will activate eSIM on that exact variant.
- Local certification or registration requirements, if applicable.
- Which software, services, and languages the seller confirms are available on the unit.
How much does it cost to import the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max?
No verified source establishes a lowest delivered price. ARRI’s announcement says HONOR would communicate pricing, configurations, and sales channels; the HONOR China shop listing is a China sales listing, not evidence of what delivery to another country will cost. Without a destination and current seller quote, a landed total cannot be calculated.

- Handset price, seller identity, and whether the seller is authorized or a marketplace seller.
- Shipping and insurance.
- Import taxes and duties for your destination.
- Payment conversion or other payment fees.
- Return eligibility, return-shipping responsibility, and possible return costs.
Do not call one offer cheapest based only on its listed handset price. Compare the same configuration and seller terms on the same delivered-cost basis.

Does the China version have a global warranty?
HONOR’s China shop listing states a one-year warranty and describes China national warranty and service terms. It does not establish global warranty coverage. Before buying, get written confirmation that HONOR or an authorized service provider in your country will repair that exact imported unit, and ask who pays for shipping if it must be sent back to China.
Is it a good fit for a creator workflow?
The advertised LogC3, 10-bit color, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI CINEMA Mode may be relevant if they fit your capture and post-production workflow. Confirm the recording format and compatibility you need rather than assuming that a named color profile guarantees a particular grading result. HONOR also names the SmallRig Mobile Video Kit and the G200 and G500 teleconverters as optional creation tools; confirm compatibility with the exact phone, availability, and local pricing before building them into a rig.
How to judge an import against another seller or a local release
Use the same checklist for every offer. A lower advertised price may not be a better buy if it comes with higher import costs, uncertain carrier acceptance, or difficult repairs.
