Moda may help you get from a brief to a polished-looking presentation PDF quickly, but the “under five minutes” claim needs a narrow reading: XDA Developers writer Nolen Jonker reported generating one six-slide explainer deck in under two minutes. That is a personal example, not a measured benchmark or a guarantee for other topics, deck lengths, accounts, or revisions. The more useful question is whether Moda’s fast first draft remains easy to edit and export for the people who need to use it.
What the under-five-minute claim actually means
In a September 19, 2026 article, Jonker described using Moda to create a six-slide explainer about AI agents in under two minutes. The article does not establish that the same prompt, slide count, revision process, or account setup was tested in Claude Design, PowerPoint, and Canva, so it cannot show that Moda is faster than those tools in a controlled comparison. Treat the timing as one user’s reported result, not a typical completion time.

That distinction matters because “a deck exists” and “a deck is ready to send” are different milestones. A generated draft may still need fact-checking, layout adjustments, image review, and a careful export check. Jonker’s account is most useful as a description of a workflow that can produce a starting point quickly, rather than proof that a finished presentation always takes less than five minutes. Read the XDA Developers account.

How Moda’s described workflow differs
Jonker describes Moda as a vector-based canvas: text, shapes, and other elements are selectable, editable objects rather than a single flattened picture. The article says he adjusted elements with an inspector and by dragging them directly on the canvas. That can be useful when an AI-generated layout is close but not quite right: you can make targeted changes instead of starting over or accepting the first draft unchanged.

This description comes from the XDA article, not independently verified current Moda documentation. It also does not establish that every object or effect is editable in every export format. The practical test for your own deck is whether the elements you expect to revise remain available in the file you hand off.
Will the PDF stay useful after export?
XDA describes Moda’s PDF output as a hybrid PDF that retains selectable text, most vector elements, and hyperlinks. If those properties carry through for your deck, the PDF can function as more than a static screenshot: readers may be able to select text, follow links, and view crisp vector artwork when zooming.

“Most vector elements” is not a promise that every visual will behave identically in every PDF viewer. Before distributing a deck, open the exported file in the viewer your audience is likely to use. Check that text is selectable, links work, slide pages display at the intended size, and no fonts or graphics have shifted. XDA’s account is a reviewer’s description, not a compatibility certification.
When an editable handoff matters
According to XDA, Moda’s PowerPoint export uses editable native objects for text, basic shapes, and images. That is a potential advantage over delivering only a PDF when a colleague needs to revise slide content. It is not evidence that every element transfers perfectly or remains editable: complex effects and less common objects should be checked in the receiving application before you rely on the file.

Claude Design also offers export options, but its availability and route are specific. Anthropic’s help page says Claude Design is in beta for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise; PDF and PPTX exports are listed, while Google Slides export is available only at claude.ai/design. Enterprise access is off by default until an organization owner enables it. See Anthropic’s Claude Design help page for the current details.
Moda, Claude Design, and Canva: choose by handoff and editing needs
| Tool | What the cited material establishes | Best fit to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Moda | XDA describes an editable vector canvas, PDF output with selectable text, most vectors and hyperlinks, and PowerPoint export with editable text, basic shapes, and images. These are reviewer-reported capabilities. | A quick AI-assisted starting draft when you still want to adjust individual canvas objects or deliver a PDF, with export behavior checked before handoff. |
| Claude Design | Anthropic lists beta access on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise, plus PDF and PPTX export. Google Slides export is available only at claude.ai/design; Enterprise access requires an organization owner to enable it. | People already working in Claude who need one of the documented export formats, subject to plan and organization access. |
| Canva | Canva’s official presentation page describes a drag-and-drop editor, templates and design elements, and presentation downloads as PDF or PowerPoint. It also lists image and video export choices. | People who want a visual editor with templates and drag-and-drop controls, and PDF or PowerPoint output. |
| PowerPoint | The cited materials do not provide a current, comparable PowerPoint feature or speed evaluation. | Use the tool your collaborators require for editing, but the evidence here does not support ranking its speed or capabilities against the other options. |
The table is a workflow guide, not a head-to-head verdict. No controlled same-brief test establishes which tool is fastest, requires the fewest corrections, or produces the most reliable exports. Canva’s documented features are on its official presentation page.

A practical check before you send the deck
- Review the substance. Verify claims, names, numbers, and links in the generated slides; a fast draft still needs human review.
- Make the edits that affect comprehension. Check hierarchy, legibility, spacing, and whether images support rather than obscure the point. Use Moda’s described object-level editing if available in your workflow.
- Export in the format your audience needs. Choose PDF for a presentation intended primarily for viewing, or test an editable PPTX handoff when recipients need to revise it.
- Open the exported file. Test links and text selection in the PDF, and inspect an editable export in the target application. Do not assume that a successful download guarantees a faithful handoff.
Who should try Moda—and who may not need to switch
Moda is worth considering if your bottleneck is moving from a brief to a designed first draft and you want to retain control over individual elements. The XDA example makes the speed possibility concrete, while its account of the vector canvas and exports suggests a workflow that is not limited to a flattened image.
If your main requirement is a specific collaboration or editing environment, start with the recipient’s format needs rather than the generation time. Canva’s documented template and drag-and-drop approach may suit hands-on visual building; Claude Design offers the export routes listed by Anthropic, subject to access; and PowerPoint may remain the practical choice when collaborators expect that format. The evidence available here does not establish that Moda replaces all three for every presentation task.
