The syndicated search excerpt for the How-To Geek article, dated September 22, 2026, identifies Sanya’s previous phone as a Galaxy Z Fold6 and names three features she missed after switching. Modes and Routines automate recurring actions

Her examples included switching to Dark Mode at bedtime and opening a music app when the phone connected to the car.

The practical appeal is avoiding repeated manual changes: a routine can respond to a condition you choose and carry out a corresponding action. Samsung’s guidance covers customizing those conditions and actions, but the exact options can depend on the phone and its software. Samsung’s Modes and Routines guide explains the feature.

Secure Folder separates selected private content
Secure Folder provides a separate space for personal data, including photos, files, and apps, protected by its own passcode or other available lock method. Sanya found it useful when handing her phone to someone else: material kept in the folder is separated from what she chose to show or share elsewhere on the device.
Samsung says Secure Folder may not appear on unsupported devices. Its presence should not be taken as a guarantee against every threat; it is a privacy feature for separating and protecting selected content, not a claim of absolute security. Good Lock is a customization option, but the specifics are not established
The visible excerpt identifies Good Lock as Samsung’s official customization app and says Sanya missed being able to tweak her phone. It cuts off before giving further detail. That supports describing Good Lock broadly as a customization option, but not attributing particular modules, settings, or changes to her experience.
Galaxy multitasking is useful context, not a confirmed item on the list

- Automation: Can you trigger settings or actions by time, place, or a connected device?
- Private content: Can you keep selected apps and files apart from the rest of the phone, and how is that space protected?
- Customization: How much can you change beyond wallpaper, icons, and basic settings?
- Quick access and multitasking: Can you open frequently used tools quickly or use two apps together? Check support on your specific device and in the apps you use.
