Huawei Band 10 was a real, certified product before it reached stores. The fitness band first appeared in reported Indonesian SDPPI and TÜV SÜD records as model NOR-B29 on December 24, 2024. A second identifier, NOR-B19, followed in January 2025, and Malaysia’s SIRIM platform later listed both models. Those entries showed that Huawei was preparing a multi-market release, but they did not by themselves establish a launch date, price, final specifications or availability in every country. Huawei subsequently launched Band 10 in multiple markets during March and April 2025.
The certification timeline
December 24, 2024: NOR-B29 appears
Early coverage reported model NOR-B29 in Indonesia’s SDPPI database and on the TÜV SÜD certification platform. SDPPI approval is relevant to radio-equipped products intended for Indonesia; it indicates that a device has entered the country’s conformity process, not that retail stock is immediately available. Huawei Central reported the listings.
January 9, 2025: NOR-B19 follows
A later report identified NOR-B19 in both databases. It cited SDPPI certificate 106897/SDPPI/2025 and TÜV SÜD certificate SG PSB-IV-13082, describing the device as a fitness wristband or smart band. TÜV SÜD’s appearance should be read as a certification or evaluation listing, not as proof of a particular sensor, software version or performance level. January 2025: Malaysian SIRIM approvals
Malaysia’s SIRIM platform was reported to have approved both identifiers. The reported type-approval codes were RDCX/05L/0125/S(25-0167) for NOR-B29 and RDCX/04L/0125/S(25-0168) for NOR-B19, with validity reported through January 26, 2030. SIRIM approval was meaningful evidence of preparation for Malaysia, but it did not promise a simultaneous worldwide launch. The Tech Outlook’s report and Gizmochina’s coverage provide those details.

What NOR-B19 and NOR-B29 mean
The records establish at least two Huawei model identifiers associated with the Band 10 name. They do not establish whether the numbers represent regional regulatory SKUs, different connectivity or case configurations, colors, or the same hardware submitted under separate identifiers. Huawei’s retail product did come in aluminum-alloy and durable-polymer cases, so variant differentiation is plausible, but Huawei’s cited specification pages do not map either model number to a particular edition. Treating NOR-B19 and NOR-B29 as two completely different generations would therefore be unjustified.
What certification could—and could not—prove

Taken together, the filings made commercialization substantially more credible than an ordinary rumor. They still did not independently confirm Huawei’s launch schedule, software, NFC, GPS, pricing or country-by-country availability.

Rumored specifications versus the finished Band 10
Pre-launch reports mentioned a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel, 194 × 368 resolution, HarmonyOS 4.0, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Huawei Health support, more than 100 workout modes, 5 ATM resistance, an approximately 200 mAh battery and up to 14 days of endurance. Huawei’s later regional pages confirm some of those claims and correct or leave others unresolved.

Final Band 10 specifications
Huawei’s official regional pages describe a slim band measuring 43.45 × 24.86 × 8.99 mm. Aluminum-alloy versions weigh approximately 15 g without the strap; durable-polymer versions weigh approximately 14 g without the strap. The display is a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel at 194 × 368 pixels and 282 PPI.

Battery figures are usage scenarios, not one universal result: Huawei rates the band for up to 14 days under lighter use, up to 8 days under typical use and up to 3 days with the always-on display enabled. See the official Huawei specifications.
Launch dates and physical editions
The certification trail was followed by real regional launches. Huawei Brazil announced Band 10 on March 7, 2025. Huawei Malaysia’s official terms recorded a sales-launch period beginning March 24, 2025. Huawei Japan announced on March 28 that sales would start April 10, 2025. These dates confirm releases in multiple international markets rather than a single, simultaneous worldwide launch.

Huawei sold two broad case types:
- Aluminum-alloy edition: colors varied by market and included matte black, white, green, blue and purple.
- Durable-polymer edition: offered in black and pink in the cited launch materials.
Japan’s launch announcement listed ¥8,580 for aluminum-alloy models and ¥6,800 for the polymer version. Malaysia’s launch terms listed RM219 for aluminum-alloy colors and RM189 for black or pink polymer versions. These are historical launch prices, not a current August 2026 global price.

5 ATM is not a diving rating
The 5 ATM rating is intended for shallow-water activities such as pool or coastal swimming under Huawei’s stated conditions. Huawei warns against diving, hot showers, saunas and fast-flowing water. “50-meter waterproof” is therefore an unsafe shorthand.

Health functions are informational
Huawei presents heart-rate, SpO₂, sleep, stress and emotional-wellbeing data as reference information, not medical diagnosis or treatment. Feature access can vary by region, and Huawei’s UK specifications explicitly warn that availability differs across markets.
Do not assume GPS, cellular service or NFC
The cited official pages provide no evidence of standalone GPS or cellular connectivity, and they do not confirm NFC. Anyone needing route recording without a phone or contactless payments should verify a region-specific product page before buying.
Band versus smartwatch classification
Certification databases may use administrative categories such as watch or smart watch. Huawei markets this product as a fitness band; the database label does not turn it into a full smartwatch.
What the certification story means in 2026
The SDPPI, TÜV SÜD and SIRIM entries were credible early signals that Huawei was moving Band 10 through compliance processes. They were not a launch announcement and did not validate every rumored feature. By August 18, 2026, Band 10 is a 2025 retail product, so its official regional specifications—not the original Bluetooth 5.3, NFC or battery-capacity rumors—are the appropriate basis for evaluating it.
