How Tours Work in Star Wars: Galactic Racer: Campaign Explained

The Galactic Tour is a three-act campaign run with player-selected events, a randomized event sequence, and a risk of losing the run after too many crashes.

In Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a Galactic Tour is a three-act campaign run built from racing events. You choose which events to enter, and the event sequence is randomized each time a tour begins. Crashing too many times can end the run, forcing you to regroup and start again.

What a Galactic Tour is

The Galactic Tour is the game’s single-player campaign, not simply a list of races to complete in a fixed order. The official game page describes a dynamic campaign where players choose events, while Xbox Wire characterizes the tour as a three-act journey through events across different planets. StarWars.com’s game page and Xbox Wire’s launch-day interview establish those central details.

How event choices and the route work

As you progress, you choose which events to tackle rather than following one guaranteed sequence. The tour’s event path is randomized each time a new tour starts, so the order can vary between runs. That does not mean every event is guaranteed to be different or unique on each attempt; the published description establishes a randomized sequence, not a promise that events never repeat.

In practical terms, each choice determines which event you take on next and shapes your route through the campaign. The route is therefore a series of decisions within the three-act tour, not a fixed race order. The official game overview confirms event selection; GamesRadar’s review also describes branching race-event choices.

  • COMPETE IN HIGH-STAKES RACES - Slam, shunt, and takedown rivals across varied circuits as you pilot land speeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and pod racers. The greater the risk, the greater the reward.
  • SURVIVE A DANGEROUS UNDERGROUND SPORT - Join The Galactic League - an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim. Become Shade, a lone racer chasing revenge and glory.
  • BUILD AND CUSTOMIZE YOUR CRAFT - Pilot different classes of repulsorcraft each with distinct physics and playstyles. Build a ride that showcases your style and gives you a competitive edge.
  • BATTLE RIVALS IN MULTIPLE GAME MODES - Ride solo through a story-driven campaign of shifting alliances or brave strategic PvP grudge matches where reputation rides with you.
  • CLIMB THE RANKS AND EARN REWARDS - Prove yourself through intense rivalries and escalating challenges. Every choice shapes your prospects as you build your status in The Galactic League.

What happens when you crash too often

Crashes can threaten the whole tour, not just your result in one race. The official story-trailer description warns: “Crash too many times and you’re out of the tour; then it’s time to regroup, rebuild, and begin again.” In other words, the run can end after repeated crashes, and you must start another tour rather than simply continue the same run. The description does not specify a numerical crash limit, so there is no supported fixed number of crashes to cite. StarWars.com’s story-trailer page gives the official explanation.

How a tour begins

TechRadar’s launch review reports that players complete qualifiers before entering the main Galactic Tour. Treat that as a review-reported progression detail: the official campaign descriptions cited above establish the tour’s structure and crash consequence, but do not independently spell out the qualifier step. TechRadar’s review is the source for that specific account.

Campaign versus the other modes

Campaign is one of three distinct modes named in the official material, alongside Scenario and Arcade. Arcade lets players jump into podracing, while podracing also appears within campaign play; it is not a synonym for the Galactic Tour. The story-trailer description distinguishes the modes without establishing that their progression systems or event paths are shared. StarWars.com’s mode description explains the distinction.
