Check what streams in your destination, download eligible titles before you leave, and account for separate restrictions on add-on subscriptions.
What you can watch while traveling
Amazon says Prime members can stream selected Prime Video titles outside their home country, and that the selection may change. Availability depends on where you are, so a title included in your home catalog may not be available at your destination. See Amazon’s travel guidance for its current rules.

How to prepare for offline viewing
- Before departure, sign in to Prime Video on the compatible device you plan to take.
- Open each title you want and check whether a download option is available. Download availability varies by title and location.
- Download the title while connected to the internet, then check that it appears available offline before you travel.
Amazon’s usage rules list Fire tablets and Android and iOS devices as examples of devices that may support downloads; compatibility varies. Downloading eligible titles before travel is Amazon’s suggested way to watch offline, but it does not guarantee that every title can be downloaded on every device. See the Prime Video Usage Rules.

How EU travel changes availability
- Travel within the EU: Amazon says EU residents traveling within the EU can access the same titles available in their country of residence.
- Travel outside the EU: Amazon says EU residents can stream and download Amazon Originals.
- Travel to the UK: Amazon says EU residents traveling to the UK do not have access to the same titles as in their home country.
These exceptions apply to EU residents; they should not be assumed to apply to every traveler or destination.

What if you subscribe to an add-on channel?
Amazon says add-on subscriptions can be streamed only from the home country. A channel available through an add-on may therefore be unavailable abroad even when some other Prime Video titles stream in your destination. Check Amazon’s add-on subscription travel guidance.
Traveling temporarily or moving countries?
A temporary trip is different from changing your residence or Prime subscription country. Amazon warns that changing the billing country or subscribing to Prime in a new country may affect access to some previous purchases or rentals. Amazon says this warning does not apply to travelers who have not changed their residence or subscription country. If purchased content disappears after a move, contact Amazon support. Does a VPN restore your home catalog?
Amazon’s cited travel guidance does not establish whether VPN use is permitted, supported, or effective for restoring a home-country catalog. Do not rely on a VPN as a confirmed way to access titles that are unavailable in your destination.
