Yes—a curved TV can be wall-mounted if its exact model, the bracket, and the wall are compatible. The curve alone does not determine what fits. Check the TV’s manual for its mounting pattern, fasteners, depth limits, weight, and installation instructions, then confirm that the bracket and wall can safely support it.
What to check before choosing a mount
Find the TV’s full model number and use its manual—not a general guide for the brand or screen size—to verify its mounting requirements.

- Mounting interface: Check the VESA hole spacing, if the TV uses it, or any manufacturer-specific interface. A matching VESA pattern does not by itself confirm fit: hole count and depth can also differ. Sony’s guidance on VESA compatibility explains why the pattern is only one part of the check.
- TV fasteners: Record the required screw diameter and maximum allowable depth. A screw that is too long can damage the TV; do not guess or substitute a screw based on another model. Samsung’s mounting guide directs owners to the TV manual for the correct spacing and bolt specifications.
- Weight and size: Use the TV’s weight without its stand when checking the bracket’s load rating. Confirm that the screen’s size is also within the bracket’s stated range.
- Rear-panel clearance: Check whether the TV’s curved housing or port placement needs spacers, a particular bracket profile, or extra room behind the screen. Follow both the TV and mount instructions.
How to choose a bracket for a curved TV
Compare brackets by fit and installation requirements rather than by the word “curved” on the package. A mount may support curved screens as a category without fitting your particular TV.

|---|---|
| Compatibility | The bracket supports the TV’s VESA pattern or proprietary interface, and its fasteners and clearance suit the TV’s rear panel. |
| Capacity | The TV’s weight without its stand and screen size are within the bracket’s stated limits. |
| Movement | A fixed mount suits a single viewing position; tilt can help adjust the angle; full-motion movement can serve multiple viewing positions, but needs room to extend and swivel. |
| Wall and fixings | The bracket and its installation instructions support the actual wall construction. The correct fixings depend on the wall; do not assume the supplied hardware suits every surface. |
| Profile and access | The installed clearance leaves room for ventilation, ports, and cable connections without pressing the TV against the wall or putting strain on connectors. |
Check the location and wall before drilling
Choose a position that works for comfortable viewing and leaves the clearances specified in the TV manual. Samsung’s 2025 mounting guidance calls for at least 10 cm at the top, bottom, and sides; treat that as Samsung guidance, not a universal clearance for every curved TV. Keep the set away from unsuitable heat, direct sunlight, moisture, or high humidity, and account for furniture and cable access. Samsung’s wall-mounting guidance covers clearance and environmental considerations.

Identify the wall construction and the required anchoring method before drilling. Wall type and installation environment can restrict mounting, and some walls may need reinforcement. LG’s installation steps include checking the wall type; Sony’s model-specific wall-mount guidance notes that reinforcement may be needed when a wall is not strong enough. If you cannot establish the wall’s structure or load capacity, consult a qualified installer or contractor rather than choosing an anchor by guesswork.
Install the TV in a controlled sequence
- Prepare the model details. Download the manual for the exact TV and note its weight without the stand, mounting interface, screw diameter, and maximum screw depth.
- Verify the bracket. Check its supported mounting pattern, weight rating, screen-size range, wall requirements, profile, and clearance against both manuals. Stop if the TV’s rear panel or fasteners do not match the bracket instructions.
- Mark the position. Confirm the intended height, required ventilation space, and cable route before marking the bracket position. Use a level and appropriate measuring tools.
- Secure the wall plate. Attach it with fixings suitable for the confirmed wall construction and in the locations specified by the mount instructions. Do not rely on a generic drywall anchor or an assumed stud location.
- Attach the TV-side hardware. Use the specified TV screws and any required spacers. Do not force a screw that does not seat correctly or use a guessed length.
- Lift and secure the TV. Follow the mount’s hanging and locking procedure, using enough help to control the set safely. Confirm that it is locked or secured as the instructions describe.
- Finish the cable route. Arrange cables so they do not pull on connectors, obstruct ventilation, or prevent the TV from sitting as intended. If any component does not align or seat as directed, stop and resolve the fit before using the TV.
A level, drill, pencil, stud finder, suitable wall hardware, and a helper appear on Samsung’s preparation list; the appropriate tools and fixings still depend on the wall and installation. See Samsung’s preparation guidance.

When to hire a professional
Wall-mounting is not safe to improvise: Samsung warns that an incorrectly mounted TV may slide or fall, causing serious injury or damage. Samsung’s guidance recommends two people for mounting most TVs and four for sets 82 inches or larger. Those are manufacturer recommendations; use the exact instructions for your model and mount.

Consider a qualified installer if the wall’s construction or strength is uncertain, reinforcement may be required, the TV is difficult to lift safely, or the bracket and TV instructions do not clearly agree. LG recommends professional installation, and Sony recommends a qualified professional for wall-mount installation. Sony also says the required wall and attachment strength is model-specific: its guidance refers to four times the TV’s weight, or six times for some models. Check the manual for the exact TV rather than treating either figure as a universal rule. LG installation guidance · Sony wall-mount guidance, updated September 16, 2026
