How to make ammo-conscious decisions with the Bantam
The most defensible approach is to make your target and the available opening—not an assumed Bantam damage number—the basis of each decision. ARC Raiders’ general ARC guidance says weapons with greater armor penetration tend to work better against armor and advises prioritizing yellow weak points. That is broad advice for ARC combat, not proof that the Bantam has a particular penetration value or a special weak-point multiplier. The ARC Raiders Wiki’s ARC guidance can inform target selection, but it does not supply a Bantam-specific firing sequence.
- Identify what you are shooting. The publisher’s description covers ARC and Raiders generally, but it does not specify how Bantam performs against any particular target. If you cannot identify an exposed weak point or assess whether the target is armored, do not assume that repeated body shots are an efficient use of heavy ammo.
- Look for the yellow weak point when fighting ARC. Prioritize a visible yellow weak point in line with the broad ARC guidance. This is a general targeting principle; it does not establish that every ARC has the same weak point or that a Bantam round will cause a particular amount of damage there.
- Factor in armor, but do not infer Bantam penetration. Higher armor penetration tends to help against armor. The available Bantam description gives no penetration rating, so you cannot conclude from its ammo class or revolver design alone that it is a strong or weak armor answer.
- Use the hip-fire feature only as a handling option you can evaluate in play. The official description confirms that the capability exists, but does not document its effect on precision, speed, or damage. Do not count on hip-fire to improve accuracy or reduce the rounds required; those benefits are not established.
- Reassess after firing rather than committing to an invented shot count. No verified Bantam shots-to-kill figure is available for a named enemy. Avoid deciding in advance that a target should take a specific number of rounds, and do not keep firing solely to match a guide’s unsupported count.
This is a decision process, not a promise of a certain ammunition saving. It helps avoid basing a fight on unverified weapon statistics while keeping the general armor and weak-point advice in view.

When the Bantam may fit—and when to be cautious
The official description presents the Bantam as a weapon for encounters with both ARC and Raiders. That supports considering it as a general-purpose revolver, but it does not establish that it is the best option for a particular mission, distance, armored target, or ammo-conservation goal.

- Be cautious when: your choice depends on a known damage threshold, maximum effective range, armor penetration, or exact shots-to-kill. Those Bantam specifications are not established here.
- Do not claim it saves ammo because it uses heavy ammo. Ammo class alone does not show how many rounds a target takes, how much ammunition is available, or how its efficiency compares with another weapon.
- Do not treat “effective against ARC and Raiders” as a target-by-target guarantee. It is the publisher’s broad description, not a detailed performance table.
A reliable weapon comparison would need current, comparable information on ammo class, armor penetration, damage, effective range, accuracy, firing rate, and ammo cost. No such Bantam-versus-alternative comparison is established by the available sources, so a ranking or efficiency claim would overstate the evidence.

What an ammo-saving guide cannot responsibly promise
A fixed firing plan requires facts that are not established for Bantam here. In particular, there is no verified basis for advising “use this many rounds,” naming the enemies it kills most efficiently, or claiming that hip-fire is a better choice at a particular range. Nor is there enough information to give exact aiming, reload, inventory, or weapon-switching instructions for a specific encounter.
That does not mean the weapon is ineffective. It means the official description’s broad endorsement cannot answer questions about its performance in a particular fight. The useful distinction is between a confirmed capability and a measured result: Bantam is described as effective against ARC and Raiders; a specific damage outcome or ammo-saving advantage has not been demonstrated by the cited information.

Practical takeaway for your next encounter
Choose Bantam because you want a heavy-ammo revolver with a distinctive hip-fire option, not because an unverified guide promises a particular kill count. Against ARC, make armor and visible yellow weak points part of your target decision, following general ARC guidance. If a choice depends on exact Bantam damage, range, or efficiency, treat that as unknown rather than spending ammunition on an assumption.
