Yes. Google Antigravity can support research, report preparation, drafting, and other knowledge work without requiring you to write code. Its agents can search the web, interact with Chrome, work with files, and produce reviewable artifacts—but their output still needs your verification. Start by choosing the right Antigravity surface: the IDE and Antigravity 2.0 are distinct products with different documented workflows.
Can I use Google Antigravity without coding?
Yes. Google’s Antigravity IDE overview describes an agentic development environment spanning an editor, terminal, and browser, and explicitly includes conducting research and generating reports among the tasks agents can support. The Antigravity 2.0 overview presents a standalone desktop command center for agents doing both knowledge and coding work. Its documented capabilities include web search, file operations, Chrome interaction, external tools through skills and MCP, subagents, and artifact creation.

These capabilities make non-coding work possible; they do not mean every task is automatic or that an agent’s answer is accurate by default. Decide which surface you are using before following setup guidance: features documented for the IDE should not be assumed to work identically in Antigravity 2.0, or vice versa.

Give the agent a defined question and a deliverable, then review the evidence and revise the result. A prompt should specify the intended reader, the scope, the format, and what counts as an acceptable source. For a question with several parts, ask for a brief plan before the research begins.
#1 Best Overall
- Define the assignment. State the question, audience, time period or geographic scope if relevant, and whether you want a report, outline, or comparison. Specify source requirements—for example, primary sources where available—and ask the agent to preserve links and distinguish sourced facts from its own inference.
- Ask it to gather evidence. Use the browser or web-search capabilities available in your chosen surface. Antigravity IDE documents browser-agent use; Antigravity 2.0 documents web search and Chrome interaction. Ask for source links alongside the claims they support.
- Request an inspectable result. Ask for a structured report with headings, evidence, and open questions rather than an untraceable summary. Antigravity documentation describes artifacts such as plans and reports; launch materials also describe task lists, plans, walkthroughs, screenshots, and browser recordings.
- Check important claims yourself. Open the cited pages, confirm the original publisher and date, and make sure each source actually supports the claim. Treat the generated report as a draft, not independent proof.
- Give targeted revision feedback. Point to a specific gap or problem—such as missing counterevidence, unclear attribution, or a conclusion broader than the sources justify—and ask for a focused revision.
Artifacts and feedback make the work easier to inspect and improve, but they do not certify accuracy. Google’s launch material describes user feedback as part of the workflow and cautions that agent intelligence is imperfect.
Can Antigravity help me write or edit a document?
It can assist with brainstorming, outlining, drafting, rewriting, and editing files within an appropriate project. Tell it who the document is for, the desired tone and length, the factual boundaries, and the output format. If you want edits to an existing file, identify the file and say whether the agent should suggest changes or make them.
Rank #2
Review the resulting text before reusing it. Verify factual claims and quotations against their original sources, and check that edits have not changed the intended meaning. The official documentation describes file operations and artifact creation in Antigravity 2.0, as well as voice transcription and artifact feedback. It does not establish Antigravity as a dedicated word processor, a fact-checking guarantee, or an automatic publishing system.
What other non-coding tasks can it handle?
Google positions Antigravity for knowledge work as well as coding. The documented combination of research, web search, browser interaction, files, and artifacts can support tasks such as preparing a report, gathering information, and synthesizing sources. You can adapt the same plan–evidence–draft–review workflow to other desk tasks, but capabilities beyond those documented depend on the tools, access, and setup available to your agent.
Rank #3
In Antigravity 2.0, skills and MCP servers can connect external tools. An integration therefore depends on the relevant tool being available and configured; do not assume that a particular service is built in or enabled.
What can the agent access on my computer?
Antigravity 2.0’s feature documentation says agents request explicit permission before running terminal commands by default and are limited to reading and writing within project folders by default. The documentation also describes broader “Full machine” and “Unrestricted” presets, as well as project-scoped permissions and settings.
Rank #4
- Keep access limited to what the task requires.
- Inspect agent changes and generated files before using them.
- Approve external or consequential actions deliberately.
- Check the installed version’s current settings; configuration and defaults can change.
Which Antigravity version or surface should I use?
The current documentation covered here describes Antigravity IDE and Antigravity 2.0 as separate surfaces. The IDE is an environment that brings together an editor, terminal, and browser. Antigravity 2.0 is described as a standalone command center for agents. Check the documentation for the surface you actually have before relying on a particular tool, permission, or workflow.

Google’s launch announcement, dated November 20, 2025, said Antigravity was available in public preview at no cost for individuals.
