What Checkbox V19 does
V19 is designed to look like an on/off switch rather than a conventional checkbox with a checkmark. Colorlib says the control animates when switched on and changes color from light to green. The page also shows a disabled example: it may appear to react visually to a click, but its state does not change.

How it is built and where it fits
Colorlib describes the V11–V20 snippets, including V19, as HTML and CSS with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript. The publisher says the collection does not load jQuery or Bootstrap files, and that the snippets can be used on their own or in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects. These are publisher-stated implementation details; the page does not establish a browser compatibility matrix or independent performance results.

Use a switch-style control for a setting that takes effect immediately, such as enabling a preference. For a choice that is submitted with a form alongside other answers, a checkbox is generally the clearer interaction. The visual treatment does not change the underlying meaning: choose the control according to what it does.
Keep the control accessible when adapting it
- Retain a real
<input type="checkbox">beneath or alongside the visual styling. A semantic input can submit a value, support keyboard operation, and be announced by screen readers. - Associate the visible label with the input so the control has a clear name and can be activated through its label.
- Do not rely on the light-to-green color change alone to show state. The switch should also move its knob or provide another visible state cue.
- Preserve the disabled state in both appearance and behavior: visual feedback should not make a disabled setting look as though it changed.

Using it with Bootstrap or without a framework
Colorlib says the snippets can be used standalone or in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects and that they do not load Bootstrap or jQuery files themselves. In a Bootstrap project, the snippet therefore does not require you to add those libraries just to obtain its toggle effect; standalone use is also presented as an option. The page does not provide a compatibility matrix for specific browsers or framework configurations.

Alternatives in the same collection
If V19’s appearance is not a fit, Colorlib describes V18 as a smooth white-to-green toggle and V20 as another on/off variation.
